Our safeties will make or break this game, both in the rush and pass.

The biggest factor in this game is going to be 3rd down conversions. We have been very good on 3rd down converting 20-43 (46.5%) and the 49ers are 22nd in the league converting just 10-30 (33.3%). If we can keep our offense on the field and their defense tired, we should win.

Control the ball for a majority of the game.

    End of story.

Keep the 9er's off the field

They're coming from Ohio, which is where they've been since Monday.

Stop their run, we will be in the game. If they run, we're fucked. Highly doubt we get anything on the ground, this would be a good one to use some Tebow formations. Hopefully some 3 step drops and our WRs can beat press cover. Can't wait.

The Jets and San Fran are actually very similar teams. I think it will be a battle but the Jets definitely have a shot at winning this game. This team plays better as an underdog, it's when they're actually expected to win that they tend to fall apart.

On paper I do not see how Vick survives this but the Eagles have absolutely OWNED the Giants with Vick, so if I have a gun to my head I say the Eagles pull this one out.

Last year the Giants beat Vick and lost to Vince Young.

Hopefully, SF is sluggish coming over.

What's scary about San Fran is they have a lot of weapons on offense. Hopefully, we can force Alex Smith to make some bad throws. I think we can slow down their running game. Then if the 49ers are in 3rd and long, get off the field.

I just worry that between Moss, Manningham, Crabtree and most importantly Davis, they will have some tough matchups for our corners. Cromartie should be fine, the rest are hard to trust.

Offensively, I don't know how the hell we're going to score. At least Keller is back. We probably will need some chunk plays from Kerley and Holmes and Keller to have a shot.

Maybe they brush off some more Tebow plays. Without Revis, after two bad weeks offensively, facing probably the top two defenses in the NFL, in the next two weeks, maybe we see if we can get lucky with a big play from Tebow when the defense is lulled to sleep.

How would you feel as a player if everyone was saying "Revis is the whole team and without him all of you suck!"?

The players on this team have got to be petty damned tired of hearing that they suck without Revis right now. These guys need to come out and prove that they are professional football players too... They need to smack the 49ers in the mouth and put the league on notice that the New York Jets are not to be messed with even without the great Darrelle Revis on the field.

Stopping Frank Gore will be key. Force them into 3rd and longs and make Smith throw. That's the best way to do it.

blitz.. find ways to get to smith. take the risk of getting burned because our secondary is going to fall apart if smith gets too much time anyways.

let sanchez throw. let powell run. ignore greene. set up the play action and take shots deep.

first and goal, do not let fucking greene try to jump over the pile. bring in tebow to do the one thing we're sure he's good at.

What we need to do is make a last-minute trade for Christian Ponder, then we can't possibly lose.

Nah but in all seriousness I think this one could go either way. The 49ers are certainly the stronger team in my mind but I think the Jets have a chance. The thing is the Jets are such a volatile team that I just don't know what to expect for any given game. Although it seems to have been more bad than good so far this year, maybe we're due for some more good.

Would be great if we can win this game. Just don't see it. We have no pass rush, we lost our best defensive player and our offense can't do much of anything.

This is the week of Powell on O and Couples on D. Plus a pick 6 for McKnight.

i can understand this. giants and eagles have weird history, one usually dominates for a time than the other etc..in this cycle eagles have won 7 out of 9 but giants beat vick last year...eagles can be tough match up for giants b/c they can neutralize their big pass rush somewhat and giants are hurting: no diehl no nicks down 3 backliners...i can see either team winning and i can see jints knocking vick out...tough call

It will come down to the kicking games. Nick Folk needs to be huge as they will have a tough time crossing their 30 yard line. He is gonna have to go 5 for 5 with 3 if them over 45. Malone will need to flip field position all game long. Similar to that game Fields for Miami had against the Jets a couple years ago. They've got a great punter in Lee so Malone will have to come up big. Niners will generally control the clock and out gain them. The D gets a big turnover and Jets cash in a short field. Jets need to stop the Niners from crossing the 40 as Akers has a great leg and can hit consistently from 50+.

    Jets 22
    Niners 19

Jets will need a kickoff return for TD, punt return for TD and a blocked FG return for a TD. If they can do this they'll be golden.

The Jets have only beat them once at Home. 49's are 5 & 1 all time on the road vs Jets.
