Normally, starters don't play very long in the 4th and final preseason game. However, I don't know if the Jets will be that way. They have many young players. Many positions where starting spots are still available. I don't know if Mangini has said how long he will play them. So what do you guys think?
The Jets always seem to keep the starters in longer in the 4th preseason game than other teams. Maybe it will be different under the new regime.
Wouldn't you think the Jets would keep them in longer though? Their starters need more work than other teams do.
Who are the starters? Are you serious? did you watch the Giants game at all? It's as obvious as...well, nevermind. If you have been watching, you would know that most of the positions have been won and lost already with just a very few still being fought over. (like one of the CB spots, the RB spot, and McCariens vs. Cotchery battle) I do think the starters will play into the second quarter... we'll see.
Sorry to quote reduntantly, but clearly Mangini will play anyone and everyone this week...I think his depthchart technique has created a new standard for secrecy, doubtless to be emulated by Mangini wanna-bes for many seasons to come
Good post mate seems like not all new posters are morons. I agree with the topic... like mangini keeps saying about qb for instance... he doesnt even know who is going to be starter
I think the real question is: How long will Chad play? If Mangini wants to have in there fo 2 quarters, you can bet that the "1st team" will be in there for 2 quarters also.
I think Chad will play two series at the most. Maybe just one series if it goes more than 8 or 9 plays. After that you will see Bolli battle Ramsey for the Jet's backup QB spot. The loser gets traded. Clemens will not play, and will be the 3rd QB behind Bolli/Ramsey. Don't be surprised to see Brad air one out on a reverse. Mangini will do this to get the NY Papers calling for Brad to start at QB while he ships Bolli or Ramsey out without notice. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.
