Now, with revis out, I am having a very difficult time trying to find anything that this team is capable of doing well consistently. Do we run well? Do we block well? Do we pass protect well? Do we throw well? Do we get open? Do we stop the run? Do we get after the QB? Do we cover well? in the other thread people were still predicting 11 wins, without revis. i just dont see an above avg team when i look at it. we can do alot of different things, but i wouldnt say we do any of them consistently well. we have nothing we can fall back on and say "well at least we can rely on that".
Pass protection seems better...but nobody gets open and he holds the ball too long...run blocking is terrible...
Run blocking hasn't been terrible. Greene has played terrible. When Powell who's not even good was getting the ball the run game was going much better.
Right now I see a team that is adequate in every department, but there are very few game changers. What we need is for certain departments to step up... if that means more turnovers from the secondary and defense, better/more consistent play from Sanchez, for Bilal Powell to emerge as a credible threat, etc. Which can happen... whether it will is somewhere in between eh and doubtful.
I have to disagree with you there are no holes to run through, and Greene is better than Powell...McKnight should get some carries...
our pass protection was not good yesterday, and poor the second half last game. it is absolutely better, but i would hardly say it is something we do well. certainly not consistently well
Yep, Special Teams have been good in all aspects. Pass protection has been OK. Tackles for loss on defense. Drawing pass interference calls on offense (ok now I'm reaching).
