Tone deserves a ton of credit for stepping it up on a day where the rest of the offense was just awful.

It was encouraging to see him beating the Dolphins inside on slant routes, we need to reintegrate that into our offense to get Sanchez's completion rate up a bit.

Every time he was fighting off the press coverage. Was nice to see him giving good effort.

The simple fact is the Jets would have lost this game quite badly if it weren't for Holmes. The Holmes haters need to concede that no other skill player on O is anywhere near his league. The fish could not stop him, and they threw everything at him. He did not play a perfect game, but excellence does not require perfection, and he played an excellent game.

His haters here will hopefully shut up some. At least this week it will be the smart move for them.

Every week, when we struggle, it seems like ppl want to pussyfoot around the real problems and blame Holmes. Yet every week, I see him making plays when other guys aren't doing jack shit. He isn't the first WR to get frustrated and he wont be the last. I'd rather see a talented guy fly off the handle because he cares then a "good ole boy" who is just happy to be there and stinkin the joint up.

What is it about Holmes that he's constantly drawing PI / Holding penalties? Coincidence? Or just really good at selling it to the replacement refs?

I think he works at it. Different games, different refs, he still draws the penalties, and with the exception of one play in the Pitt game, that at worst was questionable and not an obviously bad call, the calls are good calls. So imo it's not the refs.

I am obviously one of Holmes's biggest supporters here, but it is not a stretch by any means to give him credit for getting those calls. I think defenders hold him because they think he's smal enough that they can, but then he makes moves that leave them clutching at him, and the flags then fly.

Well I hope it continues. With the way this offense is playing the Jets need every automatic first down penalty they can get.

Holmes was very good this game. I just hope the Jets get back to figuring out how to run the ball because anytime Sanchez passes over 40 times its a scary thing.

The Jets need the running game to work for this offense to be good and so far they haven't figured that out.

It's kind of ironic how Holmes is the only receiver on the field that Sanchez can trust this year.

It is obviously even more to Holmes's credit that he had a game like that when the running game was just not there.

Figuring it out? There's not much to figure out. It should be evident by now that the Jets FO was wrong to bet too much on Greene. He's just not that good. Powell looked better, but right now the Jets are a productive RB short of a decent running game.

Greene looks like a guy running in a shell. I don't know what the hell his problem is but he seems to be running with tunnel vision.

If the Jets don't trust McKnight with the ball then they need to bring in another back who they can trust. The Jets need help personnel wise right now.

I was no that impressed. He had a couple of easy drops. He needs to shut his trap and just catch the ball. Every drop he is looking at the ref for a flag. He is still a ticking time bomb and a punk.

He was getting mugged out there. This time when he was looking for flags and getting them it was deserved. He had only 1 drop that I remember but he caught 9 balls and made some nice catches. Hard to complain about Holmes this game.

He had an awesome game. I hated the resign but Holmes was the reason we won. Best player by far. The rookie can't catch, doesn't matter size, speed. Even his plays in Buff were ugly catches. Is 86 even alive or is cumberland the laziest football player ever?

Holmes is getting all the D attention and he still beats them off the line and makes great cuts and hard catches.

Haters are going to hate. They look like agenda driven know nothings, though, to complain about yesterday's game.

This game showed why we brought him back even after the fiasco against the Dolphins last year. I was also impressed with Jeremy Kerley I think he's very similar to Brad Smith in Athleticism and Return skills but a better receiver.
Not Hill's best game but lots of potential there and always a deep threat when he's on the field if he can come up with a few more catches.

I think our problem is mostly the running game. Greene has been terrible so far. It's tough being a ground and pound team when most of those carries go for 3 or less yards. I never thought Bilal Powell would give us our best chance to win at RB.
I think Tebow is a gamer and only here to help but it was hard for him to make an impact with the refs calling the play dead every time we switched it up to put him in there.
Our offense is a work in progress but our schedule gives us a good shot of making the playoffs. Lets just all pray for Revis because we're not doing anything in the playoffs without him.

Smith and Kerley are not alike at all. Kerley is quick and shifty. Smith was long and fast.
