    I know miami has a good "D".
But to say you all about ground and pound, you have to be able to punch it in from the one 1st and goal. The Jets RB stable is average at best if I stretch it long. Rex really, really overestimated what he has at RB.

You can't have ground and pound without good running backs. The Jet's RBs are lame.

The reality is, in a league tilted towards the Pass, the Ground and Pound is outdated. Its a panacea for teams with bad QB's, Wr's and OC's. It
is an excuse for not being able to throw the ball effectively. Its a failure.

Ground and pound was a good idea with the atrocious QB this team has..the problem is they forgot to go get a decent RB.

    That is very true cman.
    WR can't get open.
Play calling has WR's within there yards of each other.
Sanchez can only hit receivers if they're wideopen.

I keep saying it, we need a SPEEDY back. We just can't keep running up the middle then try on the outside with slow ass RBs. Lamar Miller was being put by many people as a first round pick. Dolphins got him 4th. We wasted a 3rd on Demario Davis, if he was getting playing time it would be fine but we just see him on the sidelines. Scott got hurt this game and they put in Mauga instead of Davis. What did we draft for?

Ground and pound me in the ass. Still less painful than watching Greene run up the middle.

Green the back up at best

Jets need to find a RB that wouldn't only get 1 or 2 yard everytime. Shonn green not the answer. He had plenty of time to prove it

We made better use of our 4th rounder.
We sent it to Denver for Tebow who rarely sees the field. But we picked after the Dolphins in the 4th round anyway so its a moot point.

    Couldn't disagree more, brother.

CaseNdPoint Houston vs San Francisco. That could easily be this years Superbowl. They both have Sanchezesque QBs carried by strong backs an airtight Ds.

I think because the trend is pass oriented offenses, SB hopeful teams are putting their money towards DBs and pass rushers rather than LBs and run stoppers. Consequently that creates a lane for teams like San Fran and Houston.

Its not just that, I dont think we scout RBs well.

I go to Temple U. Which means I catch a lot of Eagles games. Anybody else see what Bryce Brown and Chris Polk did in the preseason? I truly think both of them are better than any back on our roster. I would take either as a starter on this squad. Both got taken after Ganaway.

I agree. If the Jets had the right players, ground and pound could work, but they don't.

I know. I think part of it is Rex just doesn't give a shit about the offense. There have been some decent backs on the FA market lately. Sproles, McGahee, D. Williams, Michael Bush, Reggie Bush etc etc.

Never even gave one a look.
