http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/story/447366p-376670c.html "Big Play" Ray has always been a fan favorite for Jets fans and this shows why...Unselfish and team-first atittude throughout his entire career... But, like the article says, it will be tough for Mickens to make the team due to the youth the Jets have in the secondary, we'll see what happens.
exactly, its not like we dont have cap room to keep the guy on the roster , moreso for his ability to motivate and teach these younger players. were loaded with young talent at DB and it just needs some direction. hopefully ray can stay in a jets uni this yr to make sure it happens.
since a lot of us don't trust the "experts," maybe Mickens' opinion on Miller will convince some people that he's extremely talented. it seems a bunch of people on here (one that comes to mind is Rajensen) think Miller is a "bust." if anyone knows Corners and can evaluate talent, it's Mickens. the fact that he lauds Miller's skills must mean something. i, for one, am very excited to see Miller learn under Mickens because if he pans out, he's going to be a Pro Bowler down the road. cheers
I am going to reserve my judgement until he starts to produce. With that said, it seems he has the ability and now has to get his head in the game. Remember, it takes brains and brawn to be successful.
hah, i know. i don't really worry about his opinion. i just don't understand how people can write him off already. not only is Miller physically talented, but it's only his 2nd year. furthermore, the fact that Mickens is saying this should hold some weight; i mean, i understand he's kind of obligated to praise Miller since he's a Jet, but i trust Mickens' evaluation over any "analyst," such as Clayton or Salisbury -- or a bogus website. cheers
Good for Mickens that he is really putting the teams sake first. Its nice to hear about a guy fighting for a spot on the team helping out the people hes competing with
