I'm trying to be objective, he is not on the field and I understand that, but he coaches like a gambler who has to get his fix, on the road against one of the elite teams in the league play the odds and don't put your players in disadvantaged positions. He has been good for this team but I truly expected better from the jets today and they played a very sloppy game, how many times are we going to see the inconsistent play? We have played the steelers enough to understand that coaches and players need to bring their A game and I don't want to make any excuses show up and play big time football.
If they were to fire Tanny. It would be difficult to hire a credible GM who would not want their own HC.
IF he only wins 3 games this year, I think he could COUNT on it. He would not be human if he thought NO expections are to be reached.
Rex is the polar opposite of Billy Martin. He's much more like Yogi Berra. The players love him but it's not clear they respect him. The players mostly hated Billy Martin but they absolutely respected him because they knew he'd screw them royally if they got out of line and caused issues for the team.
I can't see Woody, who loves to declare that he's in the media business, firing a coach that made the Jets into a team that America loves to talk about, after one putrid season.
