Well folks be ready for the media to blow this one out of proportion. Especially Gary Myers. Sanchez is going to be ripped to the holy heavens.

Sanchez played a lot better than his numbers suggested. His receivers couldn't get open and Pittsburgh played an incredible game defensively.

He played okay, but his receivers kept dropping passes. This is not all on Sanchez.

He was doing pretty well until Timmons drilled him in the face with his helmet.

Sanchez is clearly NOT the issue, the receivers can't separate & too many drops...the long pass to Hill could have easily been Pass Interference...

He should not take the blame, he played ok, did not commit any turnovers, and had a whiny santonio holmes dropping passes like crazy

BUT, he did missed a wide open santonio home in the endzone when the game was 7-3

if we had score then it could've been a different game

Are people really focusing on Sanchez? Seems in order to have a decent completion percentage, one's teammates need to catch the ball.

Funny how people want to focus on the handful of bad throws Sanchez made instead of the many dropped passes from a number of our players. Pretty obvious that people simply don't like Sanchez.

I second that .... Gotta hold on to the passes that hit you in the hands, Mark can't do any more than put the ball in a place our receivers should be able to catch them. Not every pass was good, but damn, we gotta catch them when the ball is there ...

I don't see Sanchez in a Jet uniform after this season. Although the franchise has suckered their faithful into believing otherwise, this team is in full rebuild mode and will have to try and get as much as they can in return for their top players while they are still in their prime.

Agree with everyone else, this game isn't on Sanchez. He could have made a few more plays, and he's still not an elite quarterback, but he got NO help from his receivers. Hard to do much when nobody gets open and nobody makes tough catches.

I'm ashamed to be a Jets fans when I hear other Jets fan blame our quarterback for all the dropped passes our receivers dropped. We let Pittsburgh off the hook today. Those receivers catch those balls, this game is a blowout in our favor. Sanchez played very solid today, but you can't blame him for his receivers going full retard.

Both Sanchez and Greene were not the same after they took those big hits. The Steelers established physical dominance early on. After the offense put up 10 points with relative ease, Tomlin probably sat his guys down and told them that someone needed to make a play. It was obviously well worth the 15 yard penalty for the Steelers because the hit on Sanchez and the hit on Greene totally changed the game.

This and then dropped passes that proceeded afterwards.

He also threw many passes way too high for anyone to catch. He was victimized for sure by dropped passes BUt he shares in the blame too. I see so many here rushing to defend the guy. The truth is he did not play well at all especially after that vicious hit. But then last year he took afew beatings and he aslo played poorly! Just sayin'....

when he throws passes over his receivers heads and when he throws inaccurate passes, lets call a spade a spade. Its nice to wear green colored glasses because you like Sanchez but try being a JETS fan! He gets paid to win. He was victimized today for sure but he contributed to the overall sloppiness of HIS offense by being inaccurate!

Sanchez missing Holmes in the endzone early in the game. We go up 14-6 game changes particularly in our favor. Receivers dropped passes on tight coverage. It's not like they were dropping wide open passes. So I can only fault the receivers some.

We missed Dustin Keller big time on offense. Cumberland wasn't even looking for the ball on the failed 3rd down conversion.

Sanchez could have taken off for a scramble or two plenty of times. Maybe, he was scared to get hit again. Ultimately, Sanchez needs to play better and the entire offense as a whole. But going almost 2 qtrs without a completion is alarming.

I'm not calling for Tebow, but one thing he does is play consistently. He may not give us much but you know what he provides and you can gameplan around it. Sanchez is looking again to be a very inconsistent player that can be taken out of games early.

I want the kid to succeed. But he's not showing toughness at the position right now. Last week he wasn't touched at all and had a great game. This week with pressure in his face he completely shits the bed. I dunno.

Clearly is too strong a word. Although I don't think he was the reason we lost today, (team effort) I wouldn't shed a tear if we went with another QB next season. Just something about Sanchez that screams not trustworthy. Pretty much like every Jets QB. Today was such a kick in the gut, especially after looking so good last week.

Sanchez was fine. Not on him. Speaking of Holmes, I loved how if he did not catch the ball, it was automatically a penalty on Pittsburgh. The Refs were like if Holmes doesn't catch a ball, the Steelers must be cheating!
