RG3 seems like a more intellectual guy, but Vick seems smart enough to me. He certainly looked it in 2010. He better be, because I'm stuck with him as my fantasy football QB1. :)

Seriously though, while they're both fast and have big arms, I don't see much similarity in their styles of play. Maybe I haven't seen enough footage of RG3.

I would be too. Although RG3 is much larger than Vick. They list Vick at 6' and around 200lb... RG3 was 6'2 232 at the combine. But yeah... running QB's dont last long in the league.

Yes, because one translates to being valuable on the field. (straight line speed) and the other doesnt mean squat. Tell me when you do anything like a 3-cone drill on a football field? I don't even know why they do it. Quick feet and cuts are great but nobody is trying to kill you on a drill. At least with straight line speed it can translate right?

watch this video and tell me exactly how (besides you have to be good at it the combine) it translates into the QB position? You ever see tebow run 5 yards then touch the ground run back 5 yards?

Watch Tebow near the goal line and in short yardage situations, its not just his power that gets it done. Those quick cuts make a lot of people miss in tight situations, incredibly important for some of the biggest plays of the game. Straight-line speed is for wide receivers, most of the best runners of all-time are not speed burners but are shifty enough to make people miss at the line of scrimmage and then have the power to explode forward for those extra yards at the point of contact.

Actually, you rarely see Tebow, any other QB, or any RB running straight down the field, so why in the world would you consider "straight line speed" to be indicative of anything ?

Three cone drill demonstrates quickness, agility, balance and change of direction, all of which are important when you look at guys who run the ball (or guys who scramble).
