only thing i will say is, the interception mark threw looked like a desigend rollout.it looked like cumberland was suppose to chip before releasing.if he had mark would of hit him as the defender rushed and cumberland would have had a pretty good gain on the play.i don;t think i would call that a hurry as much as just a botched play
I think the roll was by design, but I think it was a pure QB run that got blown up. I don't think there was a set play to pass. When I watched the play, to me it looked like Cumberland missed his block and then went into a target mode, but he wouldn't have gone anywhere IMO, even if he caught the ball. There were about Bills players that were closing in on him from all angles right at the first down marker. It was just a play where instead of just going out of bounds, Sanchez made a mistake, which happens, he's not perfect.
With Schotty, you are right, but with Sporano, we don't know. Usually, when Sanchez does roll towards his left, he's wide open, so maybe they just wanted to throw in a wrinkle, so the LBs might hesitate and open up some running holes. Obviously didn't work as planned.
I happen to think that Cumberland made a mistake on that play. Either he was supposed to be blocking for Mark and a QB run or he was supposed to be prepared to catch the ball that Mark threw at him. He did neither and couldnt catch a ball that hit him in the hands. With that said you cannot make that throw if you are Sanchez.
