Would think any team in need of an upgrade would be interested. May even cost a 6th if there is widespread interest.
Yeah, probably not. But maybe they dangle Lechler for some much needed draft picks. The last couple years they have had very few. Get a needed pick and big cap savings.
possibly...if he was dangled for something reasonable i'd pull the trigger on lechler in a heartbeat. in the case of this team paying a bit more than average for a punter would be a wise investment.
I read an article about him, and reports are that he is really inconsistent. He changed his technique when he got to camp and has been trying to perfect it. http://www.sfgate.com/raiders/article/Raider-punter-Marquette-King-booms-busts-3781859.php I would absolutely offer a 7th for this guy. When he connects, he can really boom it.
Yeah. If a bunch of fans on a message board are discussing a 7th rounder, I'm sure there are a lot of executives thinking the same thing. Raiders might actually benefit with a little bidding war here. Only takes one team to drive up the price.
Mark it, Conley will cost us games. The FO should have brought in competition earlier for the punter spot because ground and pound needs a very good punter to be successful.
The FO needs to put a claim in for Mat McBriar. Dude is a 2 time probowler who seems to have recovered from his injuries last year.
Yeah, and given how many close, defence-oriented games we'll need to be in if we're going to make the playoffs, this team could use a really good punter. Helps mitigate the damage caused by inevitable 3 and outs.
