Every year it seems like BB sits on our porch and greets our waived players with open arms. Who is is going to be this year? My bet is on Jay Richardson or MTV if one of them get cut. BB always loves our secondary rejects I say either Trufant or Lankster if they're out. What do you guys think? ats_suck:
Aside from woodhead who had limited success with the Pats and may actually get cut this year, what player have the Pats benefited from that the Jets cut? They pick up our trash and do nothing with it. Good for them. In other words, who gives a shit?
Doesn't NE have about 100 TEs on their roster? I'm sure they can't keep all of them. Nah, only 7. 88 Jake Ballard TE 24 6-6 275 2 Ohio State 86 Daniel Fells TE 28 6-4 265 5 California-Davis 87 Rob Gronkowski TE 23 6-6 265 3 Arizona -- Brad Herman TE 22 6-5 255 R Iowa 81 Aaron Hernandez TE 22 6-1 245 3 Florida 82 Visanthe Shiancoe TE 32 6-4 250 10 Morgan State 47 Tyler Urban TE 22 6-5 249 R West Virginia
I am intrigued by this guy Alex Silvestro...looked like a converted TE to me. Also, I would not mind getting number 81 of the Giants Adrien Robinson, he can block and catch. Your thoughts?
It's not player performance Belichick cares about, it's intricate knowledge of the Jets gameplan. Belichick is a football genius and knows what he's doing, even when it looks like he's only grabbing a marginal player.
I think they may keep Gronk, Hernandez, and Shiancoe. That means the rest will either be cut or be placed on the practice squad. I wuld like if the Jets picked up Jake Ballard. He is a good blocking tight end with the ability to catch as well.
I think the whole pumping information from former players is really overblown. If anything, I definitely think a stronger case could be made for the Patriots being inside the Jets head, rather than vice versa. -The most famous example is when Belichick "leaked" that the Patriots were absolutely crazy about Ghost, worried that petty Mangini would draft the guy they really loved, Jerod Mayo. We saw how that turned out. -Remember Kevin O'Connell? -Signing Big Cat away from us was more about subtraction than addition. Ellis killed them in that playoff game. -As for Woodhead, the Patriots picked up Danny Woodhead because... wait for it... he was a talented bubble player who could potentially fit in their offensive scheme. Which is exactly what happened.
Jake Ballard won't be cut. He'll be placed on IR. I originally thought this thread asked the reverse question of who the Jets were going to pick up from the Pats. The obvious and clear answer is Vincent Brisby.
I don't think that Patriots would try to pick up any of your waiver drops this year. Why you ask? Because the NY Jets are insignificant to us in the AFC East. In fact, the Jets are insignificant to the entire NFL IMO. Their mama, the NY Giants dominate the show.
So insignificant that you hang out on their message boards? because i know I spend so much time on the browns and dolphins message boards...whew...it's a wonder I have time to come here.
