One of the biggest problem with this offense is that we have no playmakers. No one on our offense makes defenses nervous.
I would say he is Rex and Tanny's franchise QB. Rex is taking a huge gamble with their offensive philosophy and if it does not work they will both be gone. Sanchez will NOT be the next coaches franchise QB
What was your excuse when he had Holmes, Braylon Edwards, Plaxico Burress, LaDanian Tomlinson, Thomas Jones, Jerricho Cotchery etc.?
Are you talking about when he was a 2nd year that went to the AFC Championship game? If we still had all those players it would be better than what we have now and most of those players have been old or ineffective
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...... I can't wait for the regular season to start. I don't think I have ever seen this much bullshit during the preseason. It is awful. I'm hoping it's just because in years past I didn't start floating around these forums until after the regular season had started but I'm fairly positive that isn't the reason. I can't believe how much weight people are putting into these pointless fucking games. It is absolutely blowing my mind away at the absolute stupidity I see everywhere. Even the media "experts" are looking at these preseason shananigans like it is something concrete and extremely educational for what we are going to see throughout the season. I don't get it.
Mark played quite well today. He wouldn't have thrown a pic but it literally bounced off Hill's numbers, Holmes had a drop too. Sanchez didn't throw any passes that I cringed at, and am looking forward to seeing a live game. Howard looked fine against a decent pass-rusher, and will do ok against guys like Mario Williams when they have Vlad Ducasse or Wayne Hunter as an extra lineman in on his side (where they may often play in run plays anyway). I think Sanchez is doing just fine on his road to being the franchise QB for the Jets, though he is not there yet.
I thought Sanchez played well last night he looked good throwing the ball. The other thing we leared is there is no down and distance situation where Tebow should replace Sanchez on the field. The guy isn't qualified to be a backup he is simply a one trick pony. The bigest problem we have on O we don't have a good running back on the roster and the coach seems to want to ground and pound. I suspect once all our starters are healthy and that includes Keller we will have a very solid passing attack. Running the ball I'm very suspect.
Excuse? Why do you need excuses for making two AFCCG? What is the Bills excuse for losing four straight Super Bowls?
In my opinion, he blows. I do concede that having no O-line basically submarined any chance he had, though.
I would love to see the FO pull off a deal to bring in MJD. I don't know what it would cost and would not want to pay too much - ie a 1st round pick - for him. I thought Mark looked great last night, and has looked good all preseason long. He's getting the ball out on time and in rhythm. The problem is that he hasn't played with his starting receivers enough yet.
