This is all the proof you need that Tebow will never and could never throw a ball that phaytal would deem "well thrown."
The picture I posted, and the picture D9 posted are at the exact same point and time, from a different angle. I didnt crop anything out. That is a screenshot from NFL.com's highlights. There was not one defender behind DT. The only defenders involved in the play, DT had already beat. Unless I've forgotten how to count, there is nowhere near '6 guys' anywhere near DT. Nice try though.
And he had to get it over a linebacker (who jumped for the ball). It was a great completion. The YAC is what made it a touchdown, because the Steelers were selling out against the run. By the way -- know why they were selling out against the run? Because Tebow is nearly impossible to stop if it's for just one drive, game on the line. He'll chip you do death if you let him run, and he'll throw it over the top if you bunch up in the box. Best bet is to play regular defense and just hope he doesn't complete passes. Bears tried that, and got mocked when he finished out that game 18-24. He took what was there.
So making a receiver leave his feet to go up for a ball on a 15 yard slant, across the middle, is a well thrown ball? Are you in the business of getting your receivers killed? Thomas is lucky Polamalu was playing where he was and not in a more standard safety location, or they might still be scraping DT up off the turf.
phaytal's fun. Most of Tebow's obsessed haters pick on the mountain of other things there are to talk about when Tebow's looked abysmal at times. But that's too easy for phaytal -- he jumps and flails himself against the rocks on plays and games where Tebow obviously executed well by any sane standard.
It was a well thrown ball. Man, this is easy. I get to feel like a genius when you jump in the pool. :breakdance:
I'm sure thats why every team in the league was lining up to give Denver a 2nd round pick for Tim 6 months ago. Oh wait... It was only 2 out of 32 teams, and it was a 4th round pick. I had him confused with a player people actually give a shit about for a second. My bad.
Yeah. So few people care about Tim Tebow. The dude's practically invisible. You were gone for a week and the first thing you on your return do is post in a Tebow thread. Face it, you've got it for him. Bad.
It was about 6 teams according to Shefter, and it was a fire sale by the Broncos. Besides, there's no point in folding yourself in the warm embrace of a bunch of "experts" to make you feel better. The fact is, this NFL team, the Jets, is making great use of him.
It's amazing the degree that Tebow gets under his skin. Bet he couldn't sleep the whole time he was gone.
If he throws that ball any lower, it's deflected or intercepted by Timmons. You're entitled to your own opinion. You're not entitled to your own facts.
And, contrary to what Phaytal claimed, Thomas didn't break stride. Thomas didn't have to stop and he didn't get wrong footed. Hell, he didn't even have to shuffle step. He went up in the air off one foot, came right down on the other and continued running. That's "in stride".
Why bother with the easy stuff? Detroit? Buffalo? KC? NE? You would have to be a complete moron to defend his play in those games.
You went through all that trouble diagramming this picture and I was just kidding about there being 6 defenders there. I was exaggerating for emphasis. Such as: "I've heard it a million times before" or "I've seen it a thousand times". Pretty funny to see you get so spun up over it though. :breakdance:
Not one defender would have been anywhere near that football no matter what height Tebow threw it at. You could have driven a bus through that throwing lane. That is not my fact, by the way. It is simply a fact.
Watch the replay, not your cherry picked photos that don't show the flight of the ball. Timmons took a good swipe at it. You can see when Timmons is jumping he's between Thomas and Tebow.
Hell fucking no I'm not a Steelers fan, but I saw the game, I saw it multiple times. That throw was as good as Tebow EVER threw the football. I stand corrected that play was zone, despite that. If you can I would love to see a better throw.
