Besides the QB, is it really possible for one player to make the whole offense bad?

I am in shock Hunter is this bad and we actually gave him a nice contract. He is to the Jets what Jason Bay is to the Mets.

Wayne Hunter is going to be the downfall of this offense. You could put Calvin Johnson on the Jets, but it doesn't matter because he (WFH) is going get pushed around like a rag doll 60 minutes per game and he will give that up 99.99% of the time.

I am hoping it was more of the Giants pass rush looking great/JPP and Tuck being beasts than it was Hunter being lousy but I am thinking its the latter.
