Coples looked good once the first unit came out. Not sure if he was just getting acclimated to NFL speed, but to see success some success from a rookie is nice.
Definitely impressed with him, obviously it's just one preseason game but hopefully he can keep it going and improve heading into the regular season.
He looked good against the 1's too, with 2:26 left in the 1st he beats the Bengals RT,both him and Bryan Thomas get a good inside pressure and force Dalton to throw it away.
He looked excellent to me when he was out there. He was good against the run, and disrupted passes as well. Now it's only the first preseason game so I wouldn't start chiseling his bust for Canton just yet, but so far he looked very good.
Davis looked good, too. Here's to hoping that the two rookies will keep it up and build on their solid debuts. They are both incredibly gifted athletes, and I trust Rex to mold them into great Jets.
The guy who got the most praise in camp, Maybin, looked nonexistent and the guy who got dogged looked better than just about anyone else on the DL. Too funny.
Some guys are better practice guys and some are better game time guys. That being said it's just one pre-season game, it's not to guaranteed that Coples will continue at this pace nor that Maybin won't step his game up.
He won his battle all night including against the first teamers. But winning the battle doesn't always mean making plays..which he didn't start doing till he was up against the 2nd teamers. He looked unblockable in the 4-3.
Already got mine B) I got faith in him to be good. Coples really impressed me last night. Looked unblockable, even against double teams sometimes. Very disruptive, the strip sack was sick and he was great against the run. Plus he looked bigger than I thought he was, hes a strong dude.
Hmm alright thanks. I really wasn't watching for anyone in particular so I must have missed him. He did seem to get better as the game went on.
