Why yes. The ticket holders will receive money for any extra energy that is put into the power grid.

So you're gonna climb all the way up on the top of the stadium to smash solar panels when the NYJETS lose?

What a joke. Tax credits is right. A contractor buddy of mine that specializes in installing these for residential properties told me for the investment, it never pays itself back in terms of what the panels are supposed to provide. At least not this far north. He said down in Florida it's a different story but the sun isn't strong enough half the year up here.

Isn't the lease for like...99 years? Obviously the stadium won't be up for that long, but if they're in it for let's say, 20-30 years? It'll probably pay off.

dont they each need to be set to get max sun? they look like they are just throwing them up there with no rhyme or reason. also dont they need to be cleaned and maintained? thats gonna be a little tough that high up.

btw is that like a new worlds record for tallest crane on the east coast to reach all the way past row 26

Anything overhead becomes a drip edge in the rain. I remember when I sat in the LL at the old stadium there was a speaker above us that caused a drip every time it rained. Whats next strapping billboards to season ticket holders backs and requiring them to walk the parkng lot before games.

With all the seagulfs that fly in from the dump it wont be long before the power intake is down to zero.. Anyone looking for a cleaning job in the near future. Go Jets

Like a few people said: A roof would have made more sense, retractable if at all possible.
