    This is making me sick...
If we had the room like the Vikings or the Cards have I would be licking my chops right now. The FA market is ridiculous and is only going to get better with teams meeting the 92mil mark.

Very true, but at the same time alot of other teams are getting weaker and weaker which will only make our rebuilding faster.

I can't believe the Dolphins are $20 million over the cap... I swear I heard constant bickering about how they had tons of room and could sign just about anyone. According to ESPN.com they're in worse shape than us!

I think it's a great year. I hate sitting here with false hopes. How many years do you think it will take to turn this ship around? Not one. Probably 2+. Signing a high priced FA or two is not the way for us to go. I would hope we are all in it for the long haul not the quick fix.

Yeah but with the FA market being flooded as it is. I do not think it will take as much money to pay some of these guys off. Not saying guys like Alexander and Edge are not going to break the bank for some teams. There is alot of guys out there that teams will see a fit in thee system and get picked up for a decent price. There is alot more leverage this year..

According to ESPN.com, the Dolphins are $21.9M over (I'm assuming before the cuts).

The Cards will be stupid next year my opinon..You have 2 of the top five WR'S there in Bolden and Fitzgerald (nobody can cover both these guys). They need to address holes on there line and Defense. Also Arrington is a piece of shit my opinon. But the Cards definitely are a team to watch for if I were Seattle or St Louis I'd be scared..

LOL. The first thing that came to my mind when you said that is: if you are not in it for the long haul, you must be a new Jet fan. We've all been in it for the long haul for years.

Ok I love the Jets and have gone though all the bs.I just don't understand how we go from a playoff team in 04 to a injury riddles team in 05. To thinking that we did not have a decent structure before letting all these guys go. It is also the manner we are doing it which I think is not right. At what point do we show a little loyalty or tact rather then just sying go look for another team that wants you or just giving them the pink slip.

And they are going to eat up their cap space fast because you can only spread out signing bonuses over 4 yrs.

No order but here you go..

Chad Johnson (hopefully stock don't fall with Palmer)
    Boldin
    Fitzgerald
    Holt
last one is a toss up pick from the bottom 5

    players close
Harrison- age and Wayne also taking catches
Owens- like to see whole season..have to see pre 05 season yes top 5
Santana Moss- yes big season but still not top 5
Ward- one of the best all around recievers but not top 5 close
Randy Moss - Collins needs to get him the ball needs more then 60 catches

The Dolphins are struggling mightily to get down to the cap. Where's the money supposed to come from to sign a quarterback?

Where does Steve Smith factor in? If you're going by recent stats, he had arguably the best year of any receiver.

A lot of the guys that I would have considered top five in terms of talent(Randy Moss, Owens, Harrison, et c.) had down years statistically. I don't know if this is an anomaly or if it is a changing of the guard for the top receivers.

I had Steve Smith at the top.No idea why hes not there..oops..Other then that Harrison has lost a step, Moss with Collins throwing the ball but he needs more passes his way. Unless Moss gets 80-100 catches his numbers will suffer and drop his stock. Owens no idea where he is at..No idea what team he is he going to play for etc head games etc. But by far Boldin and Fitzgerald will both be tops next year. prob behind Smith
