This is the guy to watch all preseason, I expect him to get major playing time (in preseason) He might even be able to earn himself a career
From reading about these guys on defense, it sounds like we are stacked. I hope they all can bring it to the field.
Doubt it They're different players. sapp is more as a 4-3 end Westerman just didn't step up last year and blew his chance. Maybin took his job
I always love the "so and so looking to contribute" articles like the guy is going to say anything else in these puff piece interviews. Just once I want to see one of these with the truth: "Haynesworth looking to sit on the bench, possibly smoke some weed" "Mulligan: Practicing Blocking is just way too hard" "Rookie excited to visit area strip clubs"
I think the reason Westerman wasn't resigned was because he was bad. Though I am encouraged to hear all this about Sapp. Hopefully he can become a player for us
Update: Rickky Sapp has been signed off the practice squad for this week's game in Seattle. This is what Rex had to say when asked about it: I'm actually pretty excited to see this guy in action. He's got a great story behind him, and you'd love to see him be successful. If he can at least be last year's Aaron Maybin for us, maybe that will give a nice boost to our defense to push us in for the playoffs. Just staying optimistic! :jets:
