Regardless of what the media prints about Mangini, I like him a heck of a lot more than Herm. I believe we are going to accomplish a lot under Mangini. That does not necessarily mean we go to the playoffs this year, but I think we will improve and continue to get better as this year unfolds. Next year could be a year where we really make a serious run at the playoffs. At least Mangini seems to have a plan and is a leader who is involved. Herm is a cheerleader with no plan other than what the rest of his staff puts together - "The play not to lose" crap really wore on me. Did anyone see the KC pre-season game? KC looked horrible. And there's Herm on the sideline with that I just pooed in my pants look.
I read this yesterday, I disagree. I think most fans want the team to win, period. Whatever means necessary, that end will justify it. Maybe the less information released means the less information the opponent has. No doubt they got this from Parcells, who got it from Al Davis. Nothing new about it except for Mangini and Tannenbaum themselves.

All this Mike Vaccaro bashing is ridiculous. He's a hell of a guy who is a personal friend and mentor to a few of my high school buddies. His article is common sense. Now, Tangini doesn't have to be like Herm, but this is the most inaccessible camp I've ever seen. Even Parcells gave the writers a few soundbytes here and there. And this is the way Mangini has chosen to run his football team, like it or not. Just because he is running a tight ship should not lead the NY media to rip the FO left and right. Lets face it, Mangini probably doesn't have the gigantic personality of a Parcells (at least not yet) that can deflect the concerns of the media with a funny quote. If you ask me (and no one is really), the media guys need to begin focusing on whats happening on the field and not criticizing the team for the way it is handling its business.

I'm going to sort of read between the lines here, but not really... So wait a second. A "journalist" has blatantly claimed he gets paid to write about his opinions? I hate to be the one who breaks the news to him, but true journalism is reporting the facts. Imagine THAT? The media is total shit in NY. xJets2002x, I am sorry if he is some personal friend to your friends or whatever, but this guy just proved what is so wrong with the media today.
