It all sounds very interesting. But the real question comes down to who are the best 11 players on the defense. Putting aside the secondary for the moment... who are the best front seven? If the line is composed of Mo Wilks, Pouha, Devito and Coples, the D is not necessarily any faster since Coples is simply replacing Bryan Thomas. To be faster with this line setup, they would have to replace a LBer with a SS. It would seem they need to go with a line of Pace, Pouha, Coples and Mo Wilks with Harris, Scott and Demario Davis at LB.
It's easy to get very excited about this defense, especially with the youth and versatility up front. Bucky Brooks of nfl.com tweeted a bunch of stuff earlier today about the 46 defense and the versatility, it was a good read.
Thomas is currently a big question mark. Who knows how that knee will funtion. Add to it, that he apparently also had upper body muscle surgery. So IMO and even Petine said, Thomas is a big question mark. But like Zach said, there is also Maybin.
