Thanks for posting this complete article. I really wanted to read it. The NY Daily News redacting parts of articles for non scribers blows.
There's the explanation for the sunglasses at night lol. Burned his eyes, sounds painful. I'm looking forward to a new offense and love how he knows this division well.
Fifth reply...lol. Great article...really enjoyed that. That is the typical excellent Coordinator resume. Its also a resume that might not be perfect for a head coach. I think he will do great with the Jets.
Personally, I like Sparano. Professionally, not so much. He is a players coach, very anal about the most intricate of details, a disciplinarian reflected by the minimal amount of penalties but his in game decision making leaves a lot to be desired. He made some costly time management decisions, for some reason he didn't seem to hold Henning accountable for a lack of in game adjustments and of course the lack of continuity along the OL. That was a major sore spot for many as he is an OL "guru" but couldn't get it fixed in 4 years. Hard to say how he will perform in New York but one thing is for certain. He will give the Jets the ground and pound game that Rex wants. He is a clone of Parcells.
Well, if Brandon Marshall is vouching for him, that's good enough for me! He sounds like a man of high character, which is something our team sorely needs. His philosophy also fits with Rex's. We are going to be a really boring team on offense, and I believe that is a good thing.
One of the best articles I have read in a long time and Sparano certainly seems the sort of coach that connects with his players and they want to play for him.
Blah Blah Blah. If the OL does not get fixed it won't matter who calls the plays. The OL coach is the key to this team and Sparano is an ex OL so that should help. I have my fingers crossed
Sparano is a Parcells guy. Any guy that Parcells endorses, is fine by me. Sparano won a division in Miami. He's got some cred if you ask me; just was a lame duck once Parcells split. He fits in with the Jets imo.
Quote from Sparano: “Smoke and mirrors aren’t going to win a lot of games.” Suck on that Schotty. Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/signals_green_for_jets_new_2gCtWeHe4Dt1HgO9SWoelK#ixzz1wXjhAU2w
