Injury prone and skipping workouts and meetings? They better have a doozy of a plan B for his Landry and Bell tandem because as of now I'm not expecting Landry to make it through September.
Oh, didn't know this. Life has been preventing me from following the Jets as much as I normally do. It would be nice if he was getting acclimated to the D with his new teammates, though.
Agreed. We need our defense to play together and stick together like a brotherhood. Work out portion I am not too worried about, we all know he is well conditioned. Its the meetings that will really help him.
Not to worry, Im sure Tebone will say a prayer for him and he will be just fine.. DAMN I did it,, I brought him into this post.. Im so sorry. Go JETS
I'm glad I don't live in NY. I wish I could see all the games, but the media out there is ridiculous! Some of these reporters are so screwed up they make Howard Stern look like a good judge on Americas got talent. --This just in...Sanchez won't take a crap in the stall next to Tebow!--
A lot of players are skipping OTA: Drew Brees, MJD, Landry, its only May. This has to be the only offseason that I can actually recall in my entire life that people focused on OTAs. If the NFL can somehow figure out how to add more coverage in the offseason, they'd have a year-round sport. The draft was the most-watched ever this year ( I think.) Not sure that players put a lot of stock in OTA practices in the past? In fact, I can recall many players not reporting until camp. Back in the old days, (20 years ago) you didn't hear anything about players from February to almost the start of Preaseason.
Don't worry about Landry...he's just getting the juice out of his system before reporting. No wonder the guy had an Achilles injury.....those ligaments won't hold up with all that muscle mass! In all honesty...he looks too big!
Reminds me of David Boston. I think these guys are so obsessed with putting on the muscle they don't realize that it is actually hurting their ability as players. With Bell and Landry at the safety spots, I fear that we will struggle badly in coverage this year.
Often looking muscular is not the same as working to develop the proper muscles to enhance play. I agree. Brian Bos was a physical specimen but only a ok NFL player. He did have a decent career, but its more about learning to build the right muscles.
Honestly our safeties can't struggle more this year than they did last year. Only now we have better SS.
Its not a suprise i think this was a waste of money if we look at is carrer he's injured most of the time, but maybe im wrong and he will be good let the time prove me wrong.
