Maybe because he totally sucked last year. In NY no matter what the sport fans tend to boo you when you suck. Less you forget he got booed at MetLife last year too.
Hater ass Giants fans that are just mad that we have more publicity then them even after they won the SB, cant blame em'
The media hasn't made the Jets the team to hate. The Jets have done that to themselves all starting with the boisterous Rex Ryan. I think those fans were embarrassed by last years performance of the Jets organization. So they let them hear about it. Sanchez not living up to the hype, Sanburnio crying and sulking on the sidelines in Miami, Rex not fulfilling his prophecies and the budding rivalry between the Superbowl champs in the same city will bring out the boo-birds no matter the city. On the other hand, maybe they were cheering Boo-urns, Boo-urns...
The boos were definitely Giants fans, and then the Jets fans who couldn't help but boo Sanchez along with mainly directing it at Holmes lol
It's mostly b/c those 2 were the faces of the failure of the 2011 Jets. Sanchez and co. have been wildly cheered at Knicks games in the past. We live in a what have you done for me lately area.
My guess is that a large portion of this message forum was at the game last night. Only Jets fans are angry enough to boo their own team during the off season, and you know Giants fans are loving it. I seriously loathe most of those negative nancy type fans. Go follow another team if your attitude about everything is so piss poor. It seems like most fans are nothing more than drones programmed by the media who can't think for themselves. Sanchez is breaking out this year and Holmes will be a big part of that.
Typical response from a Jets fan. That pathetic 9-7 team has won 2 Super Bowl titles in the last 4 years.
Odds those very same fans wouldn't [want to] beg for an autograph if they saw them in the concourse at halftime?
I would say it's a combination of Giants fans, disgruntled Jets fans, and anyone who thinks hating Sanchez and Holmes is cool. Personally, I didn't find it cool that Sanchez was booed but it is what it is. If Sanchez can "Rise Above Hate", he could possibly overcome the hate. Also, do you feel that this Jets/Giants rivalry is a little one sided? From what I've seen, Giants fans hate the Jets while Jets fans are mostly indifferent towards the Giants. Similar to how Mets fans hate the Yankees and Yankees fans are indifferent to the Mets.
