If you googled his home town media, you will find Chad's father was admitted to the hospital. A lot of you should be ashamed of yourselves with all the stupid conspiracy theory. http://www.volunteertv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5297000
I know, the conspiracy theory was pathetic. Equally pathetic? Our local media putting "family emergency" or something like that in quotes, IMPLYING conspiracy. The poor guy's dad is ill, and it may be serious. He probably wants to be with his Dad and I can't blame him.
Because some people around here are morons. They still think Chad got injured in last week's game and they thought the Jets were saying Chad was away tending to a family member as a way to cover-up for some "injury". It was weak, and totally uncalled for. Everyone who thought this should be ashamed and embarrassed.
You know, you and I don't always agree, but you are right on with this one, 2004. I also spotted that in the news too, the quotation marks. What despicable @sshole authorized the use of quotations around "family emergency?" I swear to God, somebody needs to make a huge apology, big time. Quotes are used to quote someone, true. But they're also used to call sarcastic attention to bogus statements, exagerations, falsehoods and excuses, among many other things. They'd have everyone believe that Chad's not only lying about his arm, he's also lying about "family emergency," wink, wink. Being that it can be taken both ways, I'm sure they'll probably want to squirm out of it by saying, "We were only quoting Chad." Yeah, right... What flamers.
Thanks for the post, but how about you leave the condescending tone that is reminiscent of a third grade teacher to your interactions with buddies around the swingsets.
This is the childish sort of behavior you can expect from sports writers who feel like a lover spurned. I don't blame posters for questioning, and calling them morons is a little harsh to be honest. You have a coaching staff that is extremely tight-lipped, apparently even about real-life situations. It is going to create an air of uncertainty for many, inlcuding fans.
here is what its all about http://www.herald-dispatch.com/apps...RASH05&ArtNo=607100801&Ref=PH&Params=Itemnr=4
Family should always come first, no matter what. I'm sorry, my "moron" comment doesn't seem harsh at all, and I still stand by it. Our coaching staff may be tight-lipped, but to lie about a person's family? Give me a break.
