Who give a shit about Buffalo? Last I checked this was a Jets forum. Take your Fitzpatrick stats somewhere LMAO
Not to mention after a career of being awful he had half a decent season and then finished his usual awful self. Everyone loved the Bills when they were 5-2 and then they tanked hard. Nothing has changed Bills are just as soft on D as they were before and Mario Williams isn't going to change that by himself.
Exactly, Mario Williams won't stop Keller from raping the Bills - as he's done since he's entered the league
I personally love all the shit these hacks are writing because maybe the stories get under Mark's skin and he produces to spite them all.
LOL - Really? Only a true Jets homer would say that. Eli has been and continues to be far better than Mark Sanchez...cmon man.
Eli's been very inconsistent in his career, but he is a great post season quarterback. Better than his brother, imo. He lacks pride when it comes to the regular season and his leadership role. Maybe he gets bored. He doesn't quite have the alpha male traits you like to see in QB's but he's proven you don't need to display it, as long as you have other qualities that can compensate. He's shown to really step up in big games, and his rag-doll physique as well as passivity has no doubt proven to be a major asset when it comes to high pressure situations. He bends like he's made of cloth when you tackle him, which -ironically- makes him less prone to injuries. He's like the drunk driver who never gets hurt in a car wreck because they tend to be very loose and relaxed during the impact. And he's so freaking calm and passive, almost to the point of annoyance, it doesn't seem like he cares when the pressure is on. One step away from being an idiot savant as far as quarterbacks go. Not really far from Tim Tebow....but in a very, very different approach. I like Eli. Another quarterback that stomps and shatters the illusions, myths, and stereotypes created by the NFL and everything and everyone that's involved in it.
People keep forgetting Rex said up to 20 snaps a game he didn't say 20 snaps a game. The Jets aren't trying to push Sanchez out, they are trying to improve the team by giving a 4th round pick for a good football player. If Sanchez loses the starting job to a quarterback that has trouble throwing a 15-20 yard pass accurately then he deserves to lose it.
it's easy to say that now but Eli went through the same struggles early in his career as Sanchez and in 2010 threw TWENTY FIVE interceptions, Sanchez was better in 2010 and Sanchez after 3 years is better than Eli was after 3 years. good post and 20 snaps doesn't mean 20 snaps under C or in the shotgun, he may line up as a RB one play, he'll be the upman on punts. They will be creative w/ the way they use him and it won't be strictly WC.
He's definitely better than Browing Nagle ever was. The Bills offense had 2 problems last year: injuries in the second half of the season, especially to C Eric Wood, and other teams figured out their scheme. The Bills got to 5-2 despite their crappy pass defense because their offensive scheme minimized their shortcomings and maximized their strengths. Once teams got enough film on them, it was largely curtains. That's why I laugh at all the true believers here who think that Ryan's "plan" for a gimmicky offense will yield real results. It might at first, but it won't last. The same with the "Tebow is an effective QB" asshats: he was found out last year and his team lost 4 of its last 5 because of it. Gimmicks and schemes aren't long-term substitutes for real talent and competent execution in the NFL. You're a Tebot, and like your hero, you have no place in the NFL. FTR, Tebow threw 3 TDs, 5 INTs, 40.8% completions, and the Donkeys went 1-4 in his last 5 games. He's been exposed as an incompetent starting QB. At best he's a gimmick player, and as I said above, gimmicks get figured out pretty fast in the NFL. The Wildcat worked fairly well at first in 2008, but it has been much less effective since because teams know how to deal with it. Obviously, ignorance is bliss for Jests fans. If nothing else, the Bills should have a pass rush in 2012, something they have lacked for much of the 21st century. While Mario Williams was obviously the "biggest fish" in the FA pond, and the Bills landed him, he's got a few buddies on the DL with him: Pro Bowl DT Kyle Williams who missed much of last season with a foot injury; top rookie DT Marcelle Dareus with a year's experience; RDE Mark Anderson, a pass rushing specialist. DE Chris Kelsay is a pretty good run stopper, too. Did I mention that Mario likes to play LDE where he'll be facing TGG's favorite OT, Wayne Hunter? Even if Rex moves D'Brick over to the right side to face Mario, that will leave Hunter to face Anderson or Kelsay. Either way, it seems like Sanchez is either gonna learn to get rid of the damn ball fast or get flattened with far more regularity than in the past when he faces the Bills. Oh, did I forget to mention that the Bills have a new DC? Maybe you've heard of him? Dave Wannstadt? Like Wade Phillips, Wannstadt may not be all that great as a HC, but he knows defense.
its April and the off-season is just beginning. I personally don't give 2 sh!ts what the media says even though it does piss me off sometimes. Once OTA's begin and later TC then I will start reading articles again. Until then I'll go back to watching The Walking Dead episodes on my DVR.
I hate Wayne Hunter but last time he went against Mario Williams he wasn't THAT bad he gave up 1 sack and 3 pressures ... Id take that from Wayne anytime And you guys still can't stop Keller especially if that ball is out of Sanchez hands ... How many times has Keller raped the Bills by himself? To add did you just compare your savior to Nagle? Good lord
Despite my fellow Bills fan on this board, I think the vitriol is misleading from both camps. I honestly do prefer Fitz at this point, but it could also be that a coach like Chan Gailey could very well cause Sanchez to develop much more smoothly. The locker room roller coaster the Jets have had the last year cannot be helping a young QB grow. A few points, Fitz broke several ribs and the Bills had more season ending injuries (11) to starters than any other team in the NFL. Excuse...? Maybe, but for me it means that we have hope. While healthy, they played good teams and won, when not, they lost. I think they built some depth last year. 2012, Bills added some solid talent, a prove Def coordinator and are healthy again and several young players are going to have a full training camp. This gives me hope. That said, the Jets have won a ton more games in the last three years and the Bills needs to prove it before the board smack talking is on par or even means anything. You guys have to admit though, our moves have been aggressive and the Bills are not going to roll over for anybody anymore.
Injuries they are part of the game Jets and Bills have a common goal and its to beat New England and knock them off the AFC East Mountain ... And to throw the Dolphins into the basement The Bills fanbase IMO is respectable through the good and bad you guys stuck around I would have no issue with the Bills making the playoffs but only in the expense of the Pats not making it Super Mario better destroy Brady!
Listen there's a thread I made, that breaks down the entire 2011 seasons and career stats in int%, TD%, turnover ratio and so on. Not 5 games picked and chosen like you. You are embarrassing yourself. You display very little ability to objectively analyze anything. You're a troll. That's all. You know nothing about the wildcat's effectiveness in the NFL. The coaching staff doesn't agree with you. And most people with any common sense don't actually believe they're going to run the wildcat strictly anyway. The spread offense is in full swing in the NFL, and it is very effective. And it's going to become even bigger over the next couple of years. You can't freaking figure out how to stop an offense that basically gives you a +1 man advantage. Conventional offense, by nature, are EASIER to figure out and stop. But your understanding of football is very limited beyond repeating and regurgitating simple minded trash you hear come out of everyone who believes they know football.
No offense to the Bills, but you guys seem to get stuck at the halfway mark. You start off some seasons strong, and this past one especially strong, but you have hit the wall by the halfway mark it seems. The reasons for this, I'm not sure as I don't follow you closely, but once you get over that hurdle you will be a dangerous team. I definitely think this year the Jets/Bills will be fighting for second as the Dolphins watch from below. I can really respect you guys since your fanbase has been around forever. I can also feel for you because being a Bills fan might have the same pains as a Jets fan. It seems like a Jets thing to go to 4 super bowls and lose 4.
