Lol nah, actually I'm a Broncos fan Although my dad is from New York and I'm a die-hard Yankee fan so I might end up becoming a big Jets fan in the end too.
Let's say Broncos-Jets meet in the playoffs, and Tebow is still the back-up (had to specify that for the hypothetical). Who do you root for?
I should have seen this question coming lol As of now, I would be torn. Part of me would want the Jets to win because of the Broncos FO and because it's been longer since they've won a Superbowl. Another part of me would be sad because I want Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins to have a ring before they retire. The funny thing is this might actually happen. I have this feeling that if both teams make the playoffs, they will meet each other.
With JUST Sanchez we lose 8 games. But with Tebow on the team to help we win 8 games. haha. The only 'Tebow' thing that pisses me off is I'll have to get to Cortland 2-1/2 hours early just to get a spot along the fence.
The weak AFC West and the Pats' ability to take the AFC East seemingly without effort makes it a distinct possibility
That's what I think. Even a few draft picks who can go above and beyond, and make a decent contribution (asking a lot) right away can't help the Jets that much. I think it's 7-9 this year barring something unforeseen. I also think this year will have a major QB controversy, leading to the end of Sanchez due to media and fan influence.
2012 Schedule HOME Buffalo Bills (W) Miami Dolphins (W) New England Patriots (W) Houston Texans (L) Indianapolis Colts (W) San Diego Chargers (W) Arizona Cardinals (W) San Francisco 49ers (L) AWAY Buffalo Bills (L) Miami Dolphins (W) New England Patriots (L) Jacksonville Jaguars (W) Tennessee Titans (W) Pittsburgh Steelers (L) St. Louis Rams (W) Seattle Seahawks (L) I have to hope we'll finish no worse than 10-6.
I think the Jets could easily get back to the 11 win range. Everyone seems to assume that because someone played at a certain level one year it will be the same the next. I didn't hear too many people complaining that Wayne Hunter is going to destroy our season going into 2011 and thats because he played well in 2010. Even against talent like Lamar Woodley and Julius Peppers. Heck if that disaster of a punter we had Steve Weatherford was effing franchised this year and got a 4 year contract Anything is possible!! My point is every year is a new year. There's so many wild cards out there that can change your team from an 8 win team to a 12 win team. There's guys like Wilkerson and Wilson who should be even better next season. I expect Ferg to play better at left tackle after underachieving last season. I expect Ellis to contribute, I expect the run game to be better, I expect Sanchez and the passing game to be better, and yes I even expect tebow to come up with some big plays or us when we need it most. We will also have a new crop of talent in the draft to throw in the mix so there is a lot of reasons that this team can improve. Maybe everything I said here goes the opposite way and instead of going form 8 to 11 wins we go from 8 to 5 wins. It could go the other way but I think everyone is underestimating our talent a little here. We were in the AFC championship game with a similar group of talent not too long ago so don't count this team out for 2012 just yet.
needed to be said. All these pessimistic shitty bandwagon fans need to become mets fans and ACTUALLY endure hell
I'm a Mets, Jets, and Magic fan. I'd rather die without a championship in my lifetime than submit like a bitch and abandon my teams.
ill never stop rooting for the jets...but theyre going nowhere this season and anyone that thinks differently is shitting themselves. i dont have any more faith in sanchez than i do a high school qb
I became a fan as soon as I moved to Florida in '94. I can't explain how much I loathe the RiggedBA... Anyways, back to the subject at hand. This thread's just another example of how Jets fans react to things -- angrily
