At any point this season, do you feel Tebow will become the starter over Sanchez? This does not include injuries
I hope not. Unless Sanchez really stinks up the joint I don't see it happening. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm going to vote no because I still believe in Sanchez and I'm hoping this is what he needs to focus a little more and rid himself of bad habits and play at more a consistently high level. I'm going to say he responds and the jets find themselves with a pretty good record and there isn't much pressure to play Tebow because the team is playing well.
Sadly in the ESPN poll seems by an overwhelming margin in all states including NY and NJ the poll says that Tebow will take over this season.
With the set up Tanny and Rex have described (possible 30 snaps a game for Tebow, depending on situation) it makes one wonder. Let's take the 30 snaps as literal (or close). Who would you rather be: The quarterback that goes out first on the first series of every game and gets his 35 to 45 snaps per game, but is replaced on most every 3rd down and five or less (usually the majority of 3rd downs are five yards or less) and possibly entire red zone sequences and certainly most all downs inside the five yard line (figuring for around 25 or 30 plays). Or the guy who gets 25 or 30 snaps replacing you in those crucial situations in a game. Who really is the starter in that particular scenario? Does it matter?
Yeah, but I am pretty sure in which the context Tanny was speaking of when he said possible 30 snaps, was from the quarterback position. To be fair.
This is really a poll about "Do you think Sanchez will perform so badly that he will lose his job?" Well yeah, of course an ESPN poll will say yes.
No. Sanchez was just given a two year extension and Rex has been very clear about who the Jets quarterback is. Sanchez will be motivated by Tebow and will have his best year as a quarterback. With Tebow in the picture the running game will improve therefore opening up play action passes. If no one panics and overreacts the first time Sanchez misses a pass you will be fine.
