If Scotty McKnight turns into a serviceable WR I think everyone including myself will be eating a lot of crow.
I also don't what to think of Rex saying Hunter is starting as he usually speaks the truth, BUT he has been doing good coach speaking recently and not being normal Rex so who knows.

I'm not sure what I'd rather like to see-- Wayne Hunter gone or an extra $2.5 million in cap room. It's like asking if I'd rather eat steak or lobster.

Sanchez and McKnight used to ball boy together at USC. Wouldn't you want your qusrterback's old BFF? Especially for a low price?

Agreed. Especially considering he was on the Practice Squad last year and his ACL rehabbing is coming along very well apparently

I am not sure if this was already posted but Rex also said that while Hunter is currently starting at RT that Sanchez will continue to take ridiculous unnecessary hits FOR NOW .

We needed to make mark feel good. You know the little fella has feelings and we dont want to make him feel bad. or he will not play good. He might take his football and go home.

The question at this point on Tanny's mind (I hope) is "Do I sign a RT or draft one?"

Draft a RT first Round, fix the OL, or watch Sanchez get hit all day long.

Not to take a slight diversion here, but your post brings up an interesting point. All indications are that Rex is at least trying to modulate his public statements somewhat differently than in the past. What we don't know is the true extent of it, yet.

Imo the process goes back to some of those post game pressers last season, when I could not tell if he was delusional or just a bad liar. He no doubt has been counselled to change his approach, and is definitely trying to.

Whether this means he drops the delusional stuff, or becomes a better liar, or perhaps even goes back to being a truth teller, I can't really bet on at this point.
