So who did we WANT that turned us down other than Manning? nm, I see that was already asked. Nelson I guess..wow, horrible. Of course he would have cost twice what Landry cost and we will see who has the better year.

i think people are saying it because they dealt with 2 off seasons of people saying EVERYONE WANTS TO PLAY FOR REX!!!!! SUPERBOWL SUPERBOWL SUPERBOWL

when people read that ad nauseum it gets old. so now that the shoe is on the proverbial other foot there are people saying hey wait a second what happened to everyone wanting to play for rex.

i think they understand that its not about rex, and are just trying to point that out to those who were so convinced that everyone would want to come here to play for rex, simply because they thought he was cool on hard knocks.

    Source, please.

At most the stories I have read say that Tebow liked that the organization wanted him. That is not the same thing as saying he came to the Jets because he wanted to play for a coach who coaches like Ryan.

He chose a big money market and an Offensive Coordinator intent on using him to his abilities rather than a crappy team in his less than stellar home town that will likely be in Los Angeles in 5 years and would use him as more of a billboard and not to the best of his abilities.

In his conference call the night he signed he said that he watched Hard Knocks and wanted to play for Rex as a result.

I'm talking about the sources out of Denver

Elway himself stated that Tebow picked the JETs

If Tebow really thinks the Jets are still the way they were during Hard Knocks, he is a stupid man.

I call BS anyway. Tebow came to the Jets because he thinks it his best option for starting, and at a minimum they have guaranteed him playing time.

Playing for Rex: 1% of player motivation
Large guaranteed salary: 99% of player motivation

You'll only know if Rex is the coach of choice when the Jets make the exact same contract offer as another team.

I like the way you operate. Deny something. Ask for sources. Get sources. Call sources bullshit.

    Cheers to you sir.

Tebow is and always will be a hero in JAX regardless...... He chose the nations media market to spread his Tebowmania message to a greater audience, gaining more disciples & eventually solidifying his chance at being the 1st gay Republican President.

    Hey Dippy,

Your link says Tebow denied choosing the Jets. What is the truth that your link shows?

Tebow came for three reasons. To Start, to make money and to proselytize in the biggest media market in the US. Being a pro QB is not his only agenda.

Oh, don't think I am not aware of exactly what you are talking about. I even have to wonder how Woody's politics fit in with all this, but on the narrow subject of the statement from Woody, it's obvious BS since it makes no football sense. And also that goes for the nonsense that Tebow "always" wanted to play for Rex Ryan.

The REAL reasons, what Tebow is really motivated by, yeah, that is a different matter.
