This would be a very good signing at this point. All he'll cost is money (no picks) and he is a real nose tackle. They should make every effort to sign him regardless if he is in "game shape" or not.

I know we need depth but would this pickup make D-rob trade bait? We've still got a few weeks to get our crap together. Moves need to made soon to make a difference.

He has to be in shape to sign him. The last time they brought a big interior lineman in who was "out of shape" it was the Chester Mc Glockton disaster.

IF he's in shape, it's a major upgrade? Robertson trade bait? They are paper thin at that position. Why in the world would he be trade bait.

They are brining him in for a look according to a couple of reports. He'll be in LI today taking a physical. Considering the need for a mama luke in the middle, I think this is overdue.

I think the Jets are between a rock and a hard place. If His knee is sound enough (history of knee problems) I think the Jets have to pick him up. He won't put up stats, but he can command a double team, something Robertson can't do. He costs nothing but cash to get as well. Worth the minimal risk, at this point I beleive.

I agree. I know it's early, but after the way our run defense looked last week, in addition to the injury to Pouha and the departure of Pope, we obviously need help in the middle. I wouldn't break the bank on him though because with his age and health he is definitely just a hold the fort guy and not the long term answer....

If he passes the physical he would help us with depth at one of our weakest positions. Sign him up.

He would be a very good signing. If he plays NT DRob could move to DE in the 3-4 and dominate.

Don't know why it took this long. Look, with Grady at NT, Robertson would probably have a return to his best form (2004) when the Jets switched into a 4 man front.

If he passes the physical, the Jets should not let him leave camp unsigned. There are a dozen teams out there looking for meat in the middle.

Grady Jackson will be the starter but there will be a lot of rotating going on on the Dline so Grady Jackson wouldnt have to go every play and he could get a rest.

I meant as a DE, and yes he would eventually get in there but he's not going to unseat kimo or ellis. Would be a good rotation.

do you think if grady gets signed and they move Drob over to DE he could be the pass rusher we need?
