yeah im pretty sure i didnt say that. but i wouldnt be disappointed because i think the backup would be better than him.

good job with that reading comprehension, next time make sure you put more poignant words in my mouth.

quinn's got a better chance winning the job than brunnell every did. when brunnell go snaps with the first team sanchez was pissed, i can only imagine how much more motivation he would get if quinn ever got snaps with the first team assuming we sign him cheaply

Agreed. Cheap, a few games under his belt, some upside due to draft hype and lack of opportunity.

My lasting memory of Drew Stanton was him throwing an incomplete screen pass against the Jets in 2010 that saved us.

Only thing is Quinn isn't really a guy Sanchez can lean on for advice because Quinn doesn't strike me as that type of guy at all, nor does he have enough experience. Though maybe the Jets think he should be forced to do it himself? Or more likely, its not worth using up a roster spot there when they can just have coaches.

I never really understood why Brunell was here. I mean if Sanchez needs advice is that not what Cavanaugh was ,,,,,,is for',,,,,,,,,just saying

Sign him. He can win a game or two in an emergency situation, and has the talent to push Sanchez.

I rate them pretty equal, having the same ammount of time in NFL with similar carrers so far.

Quinn might be more hungry and maybe would push Sanchez, while Stanton the better backup/team guy and knows his spot.

Either would be fine if cheap, but I feel our true #2 of the future is already on the team in McElroy.

All I care about is that we do not waste a lot of money on backup QB. Save that money for a RT. There's no reason McElroy can't be #2, and we sign a cheap #3.

If between Quinn or Stanton I'd rather have Stanton.
