http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/e...olphins-browns-negotiating-with-qb-matt-flynn Pressures on Miami now. Rumor is Peyton isnt signing until the weekend, if the Browns press hard for Flynn then Dolphins will either have to ditch Manning or lose out on Flynn and then potentially lose out on Peyton. It reminds me of the Jets chasing Nnamdi only to get snubbed and losing out on everyone else. Best case scenario, Flynn signs with the Browns. Peyton chooses elsewhere and then the Dolphins are left with Moore.
Why do I have to fear Matt Flynn? The guy has like one loud game and then he is a hot commodity? I have been watching the Phags sign players like this for over a decade. Is this all of a sudden the diamond in the rough?
You should fear him. He has the same credentials as Scott Mitchell, Rob Johnson, Matt Cassell, and Kevin Kolb.
The Packers seem to always have good backup Qbs. He could turn out to be another Rob Johnson / Kevin Kolb, but he could also be another Mark Brunell, Matt Schaub or Matt Hasselbeck. It's a crap shoot IMO. Either way I'm not really worried about him going to Mia.
Oh man, the thought of going against Flynn, Fitzharvard, and Mallett for a while. Im terrified for our future
Reports are that the Browns never talked to or extended an offer to Flynn. Right now seems MIA is the only pursuers. I highly doubt no other teams will not talk to Flynn. Maybe Sea or Zona
The Dolphins are so poorly run as an organization... http://www.rantsports.com/miami-dolphins/2012/03/17/rumor-matt-flynn-being-low-balled-by-miami/ Supposedly they low-balled Flynn with their offer and now he's going to visit Seattle. The Phins really know how to set themselves up for success... Hopefully next year they have Garrard and Tannehill fighting to start at QB... http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...rtedly-set-to-visit-miami-dolphins-on-monday/
Here's an interesting way to start your Sunday morning: 49ers free-agent QB Alex Smith is visiting today with the Miami Dolphins. https://twitter.com/#/AdamSchefter/status/181350974626078720 :lol::lol::rofl2::rofl2:
None of those guys ever had the best single game passing performance in a league year. Also, for every Scott Mitchell-type you want to mention, I can note a Matt Hasselbeck or Mark Brunell or Brett Favre.
