Josh Baker > Matt Mulligan, and Baker is the third best TE on the roster with a healthy Cumberland. That's all you need to know.

sparano's scheme uses alot of 2 TE sets working off alot of play action and run and gun. it should be interesting to see these to work together. Josh Baker is also a good choice beef him up and he could be the blocker we were looking for

Damn, Mulligan had chemistry with Kerley in the Wildcat formation.

About fucking time. Mulligan was UTTER crap the whole time he was here. He was always good for a fucking hold or boneheaded play. Fuck that guy.

Not only was Mulligan the worst thing since Adolf Hitler, Schotty made sure to maximize his disutility by only bringing him in on running plays. Only. As in, if Matt Mulligan is in the game you can put 11 men in the box. Or, if he's out of the game Sanchez is twice as likely to throw.

    Schottenheimer, what a guy.

Since the Jets did not have an all round TE on the squad, what was Schotty supposed to do on those running plays? Leave Keller in, who can't block for shit?

Yes...because at least we wouldn't lose yardage with a penalty. I'd rather take my chances with Keller blocking than have a guaranteed loss of yardage when that dickhead is in the game.

Oh I don't know. No decent alternative there. Hmmm...oh I got it. How about dialing up play action once every 30 times you bring Mulligan in? Nah nevermind that's just silly. Bring him in so you can get the 5 yard penalty and if not run it into 9 guys for a loss of 1. Much better.

You're changing the subject. Your initial complaint was that putting Mulligan in amounted to a signal to the opposing team that a running play was about to be run. Not that Mulligan committed penalties, and of course Mulligan did not commit a penalty on EVERY play he was in on.

Every single argument that Mr. Diana Pigg makes is angrily centered around the release of Schotty, with the exceptions of Cromartie and Eric Smith. What a pathetic online life that someone chooses to lead.

Thank the lord this guy is gone. Nothing personal, but I'd rather he be on the team I'm playing against than my team.

Matthew "fale start" Mulligan ....needs a CT of his head to exclude a tumor #1....i guess it just overwhelms him to remember the snap count and at the same time have to think if he has to block the guy to his right or left.

I think we need a good blocking TE who has SOME receiving skills. Hopefully we can address this in the draft or possibly free agency. As previously stated, Sparano uses alot of 2TE. Maybe Cumberland\Baker can get it done, but they really havent shown us anything yet.
