About a month ago I asked a trivia question in the terribly overlooked history and trivia forum. Nobody answered it. Now on to plan B- ask the question in the Jets forum.

By going 8-8 in 2011, Ryan cannot join an exclusive list of head coaches who lasted at least 10 seasons and had a winning record every season. Three coaches did this. Can you name them?

I'll take a shot in the dark Vince Lombardi , George Allen, John Madden

Only coaches I could think of that had that much success I probably got one wrong.

I thought the list would be a list of Super Bowl Winning Head Coaches. Glad it wasn't a negative thread.

Thought this would be an angry Jets fan post. Hard to believe it was only 3 coaches to accomplish this.

Its a pretty hard list to join

Tomlin = 5 straight and he's only half way there

Harbaugh (Bal) & Smith (Atl) = 4 straight

It should be noted that Don Shula had 13 consecutive winning seasons at the start of his career spanning two teams, the Colts of the old NFL and the Dolphins. Shula had 2 losing seasons in 33 years. This is why I hate the Dolphins more than I could ever possibly hate the Pats.

Just had to do something to get anybody to attempt to answer a trivia question I asked on this board a month ago. Petrozza is going to have to do away with the history and trivia forum. It is waste of bandwidth.

John Madden (1969 AFL title game and 1970 AFC title game)
    Don McCafferty

That is fine, but remember to not praise him if the team ever again has a winning season under his watch. I will be looking.

Allen, Lombardi and Madden are the only three head coaches who coached for at least 10 seasons and had a winning record every season. Belichick has had five seasons with a losing record.

Gotcha. He has had a 10 season run however, which I would imagine is also rare. He cheated of course so it doesnt count.
