This was forwarded to me by someone who is a Giants fan. And you know what, I don't blame Giants fans, or the Giants for laughing at us now , and giving it back. I have been getting so much crap from Giants fans, and I don't even talk crap. Rex opened his big pie whole, and did not deliver. Now we have to deal with this crap. Screw Rex, I can't stand him, and can't wait to get a real coach in here, who actually cares about the whole team, and not just the defense.

I always understood Rex's philosophy of boasting his team to instill a confidence within players. I'm sure he's been smart enough to know and accept that if the Jets ever did collapse, or blow a big game, he would be willing to take the heat. I think in 2009, when Sanchez was a rookie and the Jets snuck into the playoffs they needed this instilled confidence. It won them two playoff games and seemed to create a certain momentum going into the AFC Championship. When they lost, this team had already gone further than anyone expected so Rex & co. never took too much blame. I think after a repeat in 2010, Rex and the Jets had established themselves as a relevant competitor in the NFL and this boasting was no longer necessary. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that Rex will be Rex. He just needs to know when to STOP. In my opinion, it stops going into the 2011 season when the Jets have already established themselves. When Rex continued to talk it just boggled my mind, and the turnout of this season could not have ended worse for the Jets. I don't believe Rex should be fired, but he really needs to shut his mouth and understand that his 2009 underdog philosophies are outdated. The best thing Rex can do right now is to thoroughly admit his verbal faults and take on a more reserved persona. Rex truly believes this team will win a Championship next year, I guarantee it. The point is this confidence is excellent but has no use outside the locker room. Oh, and re-sign Edwards.

I hate any Jet fans who blame it on Rex. I for one know I talked much shit to Giant fans about how theyve become the irrelevant franchise these last 2 years and are complete garbage. Now the Jets dont deliver and I look like an idiot. Please don't take anything away from the Giants and their SB run. The whole "luck" thing is bullshit. I hated it when people claimed the Jets lucky in 09 and 10, and I hate it now when they are claiming the Giants to be lucky.
I agree. I stock up on Jets stuff when they are bad. License plate, car mats, t shirts, sweatshirts. Most of them were got during the 07-08 season. Take advantage of this.
Ok Giant Fan it wasnt luck that the refs won regular season games for them, or that they beat the 49ers in a game that they got greatly outplayed but the backup punt returner fumbled twice losing the game, or that welker/hernandez dropped game winning balls, or the best player on the Pats not named Brady was crippled the entire SB game.
