http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1056349-is-it-time-for-the-new-york-jets-to-move-to-los-angeles Im hoping this guy just wrote this for shock value but he did happen to put a lot of detail into it. This is just blatantly idiotic.
sometimes i love Bleacher Report but this is why i usually hate it.what a fuckin joke this article pissed me off beyond belief when i saw it.Yea the Jets should move to L.A. maybe the writer should move to a new profession
I don't know what's worse, this article, or sharing this article and bringing attention to such drivel. Bleacher Report has some good articles on there, but there's just so much crap on there it's not usually worth sifting through it.
The article was obviously done as something not to be taken seriously but as a way for the Jets to distance (literally?) themselves from the ever increasing Giant hype.
Usually don't even bother clicking on Bleacher report links. Sometimes the articles are so damn stupid, I get a headache.
The ultimate flaw in the article is that he doesn't explain how Woody gets his money back. It's a partnership and both he and the Maras have invested about 6-700 million each. Does he really think Mara will buy him out? Does he think another team will just move in and buy him out? The only thing at all logical is that Woody lives in southern California and I always thought it was a possibility he would move the team to LA if they didn't somehow get a new stadium here. Now it's not much of a possibility.
Why is it that any article written that Jets fans don't agree with is considered "garbage"? This article makes a ton of sense for the following reasons: 1) Jets would finally shed their "second class citizen" label with the Giants. 2) Would have the entire #2 television market all to themselves 3) Would finally have a stadium they don't share with another team. 4) Would play in the weak AFCW division 5) Would no longer have to play the Pats twice a year 6) Woody loves SoCal. Would the Jets ever relocate to LA? The reality of the situation is that would never happen. But within the next 5 years, some team will be playing in Los Angeles, it just won't be the Jets.
wow this guy has nothing else to write about and just speculate shit? i hope he gets a flat tire and gets pooped on today
Mark going back to SoCal makes sense, the Jets going does not. As Don mention, I do believe Woody sunk some money into Giants stadium and the Jets won't be leaving anytime soon. On top of that I think the NFL would frown on a team like the Jets moving. Despite the losing decades, the Jets have an important place in NFL history. I would imagine if Woody moved the team it would be a deal like Baltimore where it's an entirely new team name/colors, etc and the Jets would come back to NY at some point as an expansion franchise.
I started reading and my ears were tearing from the shit smell coming off my computer screen. Jetfan @ BR - please DIYF
For every 1 good BR article, there are 100 crappy ones that might as well have been written by 13 year olds who never watched the sport they are watching.
That's how I see it. If we had known what we know about the 2008-2011 economy back in 2005 as we do now that West Side stadium and all those NY/NYC construction jobs would have flown through the approval process.
Yeah. Pretty much nonsense. The Jets just went through securing the new stadium and everything else. They aren't going to move now, especially not into a market that has no niche for them.
