I'd personally prefer someone who can stretch the field as others have said here, having Brady throwing it rather than Sanchez is a big difference aswell.
personally i thinkwe shouldgo after manningham he just got a ring and made one great catch in the super bowl.if he has any kind of attitude problem he would be a great fit
Aha...an ESL student.... And your attempt at making a point notwithstanding, care to compare their YPC avg? Welker clearly catches more balls...but gets more opportunities, because that's what Beli does. Maximizes talent. but the two are very similar players, and both average about 11ypc Welker is a less talented version of Wayne Chrebet. A guy that gets open by being quick in and out of breaks and in Welkers case almost exclusively underneath. Welker wasn't special until someone with the vision to maximize his talent signed him. That's why he's not a dolphin.
I see what you did there. but did anyone else see what you did there? EDIT : Nevermind. A couple saw what you did there.
I can't find anywhere that Arrington is a free agent. He is also not even close to a pro-bowl talent, unless you are focusing solely on interceptions. I really don't think Welker goes anywhere except NE. I believe that BB is starting to realize that WRs don't just randomly land in NE and work in our system. I am also pretty sure that coaches around the league realize that Welker has benefited greatly from Brady and our style of offense. I can't see any other team making him an offer that we wouldn't match.
God no. Aside from the fact that, as many have already pointed out, he's not the type of receiver that the Jets need right now, he'd be just about the hardest guy to root for I can think of if he was in green and white. NE can keep that little fucker and his hipster moustache.
I wouldn't say he sucked in Miami. (2006) 67 receptions from the likes of Cleo Lemon, Joey Harrington and Dante Culpepper.
I would go after his glone, Edelman before signing Welker. Welker is a product of a system plain and simple. Not taking nothing away that freakin guy is tuff as nails. Let him stay and I would snatch Edleman, same athlete just would cost a hell of a lot less. Not saying I want either of them but if Iw as going to take any of them it would be Edelman.
No to Welker No to anyone on Pats but Gronkowski, BTW On second thought, no to Gronkowski after seeing picture of him grinding with Matt Light
It is the Erhardt/Perkins offensive system, ran by Tom Brady, of all QBs, that made Welker great. Not the other way around. Ok. Let me provide some criteria for importance priority. 1. Sound and effective offensive system 2. Good QB 3. Strong OL 4. Workhorse RB 5. WRs that fit the system. As you can see, signing Welker is like filling the 5th highest need (= dead last) when the system in place (Chudzinski variant of Gillman offense, mixed up with WCO style zone blocking here and there - it is a mutant shit, I tell you!) is questionable at best. Sanchez sucked so far in this system - but to his defense, no QB thrived in this mutant piece of shit. So the judgement on Sanchez can take a backseat for now, while Sparano installs his flavor of E/P system.
Seriously? I don't even need to prove a point here. Over 550 receptions in the last 5 years, including a few missed games u can count on one hand. Oh yeah, Kerley is better cuz he's a Jet and same goes for Santonio. 338 receptions in 6 years. There is no comparison. Wes is the better team mate as well. Yeah he's got Brady throwing him the ball, but averaging over 110 catches a year for 5 years is no joke. No other Patriot did it. Not before him either.
Don't give Sanchez another reason to throw it into the middle when the receivers are already double covered for more interceptions.
