Worse, because the "L" was capitalized. Counting the [shift key], it saved only one. Heh. I love that.
I felt we were going in the wrong direction when the team was pursuing Nnamdi. Seemed like the wrong focus. Then after watching Schotty do what he does best for play calling in the Dallas game I braced myself for a rough season.
When we let Bsmith, edwards, ellis, woody go. And it was solidified when i saw how they played vs Dallas.
Maybe the Denver game raised doubts, but I knew we still had 6 games left and a chance at making the playoffs. Winning the next three seemed to turn things around, Philly started the roll and the Giants loss just flattened us. That's about when I gave it up.
Exactly after the 99 yard victor cruz touchdown i accepted that eagle's loss because it was a good team, playing at their home field, with santonio playing for them as well, but that touchdown, it happened during a moment that the match was completely in our control, from that moment it was clear
The second patriots game was the first game I have been to in a while. My whole family went and we got pretty amazing seats. When Folk missed that first field goal after we were marching down the field I began to not feel so good. Than Holmes in the Eagles game dug us into a ridiculous hole so insanely quickly I thought I was in a nightmare. And than the Cruz TD happened and ruined Christmas.
Before the season started I called 10-6 and got raked over the coals here for being crazy to think they would *only* win 10 games. When they lost the 2nd time to the Pats, and then the Denver debacle, I knew the Jets were fucked. You could tell way before that though the the chemistry was bad.
Oakland Game - getting run on all day, it didn't seem like the Jets team from last season To go 8-8 with that crappy roster, we were lucky
The Broncos loss was the point where I saw how ridiculously ineffective our offense had become, at that point I had serious doubts about making the playoffs. I knew our line was doomed. Sanchez never quite recovered from the beating he took that game. The Giants loss sealed it, but the Broncos game was the turning point of the season, no doubt about it.
Neither superbowl team had a good secondary and most of the playoff teams had mediocre to garbage secondaries. Cornerbacks don't matter anymore in this leauge. You need a dominate pass rush and safety's who can handle a TE 1 on 1. Chasing after a worthless FA (what did he do on the Eagles?) who plays the most worthless position on the defensive side of the ball was the start of a joke season and more evidence that the front office has their heads up their asses. The jets should offer Revis straight up for a guy like JPP or Jared Allan or any guy who is worth double digit sacks.
I think the 2011 season was doomed from the moment when Braylon wasn't brought back and Tanny wasted his time with Aso when he could've been negotiating with BE's agent for a reasonable contract. Also, whoever brought up Jonathan Joseph is 1000% correct. He would've looked real good in Jets Green.
Are you kidding ? It was even going AFTER him that I thought the season was in trouble....the guy was an overrated Raiders CB who showed he is nowhere near Revis' class. He had at least 5 or 6 bad games where he got repeatedly torched. Probably the 1st 3-game losing streak. The Raiders game for sure. They NEVER should have pursued that overrated overpaid hype.
Clearly, MT and Rex have no idea about the values of continuity and leadership. I think they think you assemble talent, coach it, and it's Madden 2012. I mean, for godssake, did Rex even ASK a player during the year 'how are things in the locker room' ??? I mean, it was 100 feet away from his office, not across the country.
