Wow, we have some internet tough guys in this thread. You have no idea at all what I was or wasn't saying. No need to be so hostile, it is going to be ok, I promise.

So Rex has no self control because he has a weight issue? So Bill Parcells who struggles with his weight also has no self control?

And now you also know the exact conversations Rex had with Holmes and Sanchez and that they were all wrong because he didn't threaten to kick their asses? And which Polian would you like the father or the son? The colts didn't seem to like the idea of starting over with either one calling the shots. Of course one of the Polians just getting a great GM and Coach should be as easy as falling out of bed because you say so. Nice job Cherry picking two guys who a lot of teams passed up on. The Steelers and Ravens missed out on Victor Cruz also. And Tannebaum also made this Trade in 2009 gettimg third round pick (#65-Shonn Greene) for 2009 third round pick (#76-DeAndre Levy), 2009 fourth round pick (#115-Sammie Lee Hill), 2009 seventh round pick (#228-Lydon Murtha) on 2009-04-26. Also gave up meaningless players for Mr. GQ. Move up in the draft for Revis. Draft David Harris. Certainly more hits than not in the draft. But then again he has a slight weight problem so he probably has no self control either

I'm an internet tough guy even though I didn't threaten you at all I just said your fucking ungrateful which you are, 1 bad season and you want a great Head Coach gone even though you were cheering like a 5 year old girl when we almost made the SB twice in a row. Some of you fans are like women on your periods.

Well, a disciplinarian might not be the answer, but SOME semblance of discipline would be nice. I don't want to go through the usual three year cycles all the time either, but I have very little confidence in his ability to turn this back around. I mean, the comments made by Tomlinson today were very, very telling and paint the picture of a guy who's lost if his trash taking style falls on deaf ears, and buries his head in the sand when locker room personalities clash.

Lets face it, fellas, all it takes is one bad year for this fan base to lose faith. We knew it'd be like this.

Saying i'm fucking ungrateful isn't the same as calling me an ungrateful fuck. An internet tough guy doesn't have to threaten, just has to say things he wouldn't say in person. And if you and I were discussing this in person, I doubt very much you'd speak to me that way. That's not because i'm some big guy or i'm saying I could or would kick ass, just staying my belief. Just like I was about Rex.

He's earned the loss on faith on this one. We can agree to disagree, but I can assure you that I am not losing faith because of the record, or the bad year. At all.

This is true, but reading this thread is actually making me mad seeing how stupid some of the fans are.

LMAO I can assure you anything I say over the internet I would definitely say in real life. Either way you make no sense, who do we replace Rex with? Sparano?

Wasn't it the Giant clubhouse that had turned on Coughlin a few years ago and no one thought he could turn it back around. Didn't the Raiders fire Mike Shanahan because he couldn't control a locker room. Locker rooms turn over every year good to bad and bad to good and every coach is faced with them. If in three years later Rex hasn't fixed the problem then lets talk about it being time to go. By the way I also remember that LT did not come to the Jets with a great locker room reputation. Interesting that now that his days are over with the Jets and he might want a career in TV he has such interesting things to say to the press. It seems to me a "locker Room Leader" is suppose to keep al this stuff in house and not air things out publicly.

Fuck Sparano, let him chase after donkey Kong with his brother Luigi. Its January 18, the conference championship games haven't even been played yet, and you're worrying about who we'd find? Cmon man, its not June.

Classic example of what happens when you have a bunch of very low character players on your team and your losing games.

The difference between those guys and Rex is that REX has no discipline, those guys did/do. Rex has a long way to go to learn how to be an NFL head coach. You wanna wait that out? Hey, more power to you. I don't see a guy who talks like he does and can't discipline his players turning it around so quickly.

I can see fans being angry at Rex and wanted him fired but truthfully he is the man for the job, if he's guilty of anything its being naive as fuck and thinking being all friendly with low character guys are going to make them behave(Holmes), he also needs to get involved more in all aspects of the time even if he doesn't gameplan offensively he needs to be in the meeting rooms/locker room more.

So did you have the same opinion last year when the Jets were in the championship game? Because he certainly didn't talk any less last year

Its way easier to go from being an insufferable hardass to lightening up like Coughlin did then to go from being all buddy buddy to being a hardass. Nobody will take you seriously.

And if your going to be coach friendly then you better be in everybody's business and smooth over problems before they turn into huge issues. You can't be in the defence meeting rooms and not coach the rest of the team, or leave all that stuff up to coordinators.

I don't disagree that Rex needs to improve on the things which you are pointing out but I think it's ridiculous to say at this point that he can't correct the issues and so he has to go. I think he has already started the process of correcting some of the issues by the changes is his coaching staff. Next will be the roster as Free Agency starts and the draft draws closer.

I think Jets fans just always have to be on a witch hunt to get someone fired. Funny how before it was all "FIRE SCHOTTY!" and you didn't hear any "Rex must go" talk. As soon as Schotty goes, all the people that were calling for his head immediately have to shift their focus to calling for someone else's head.
