What do you guys think? Does he have the height/breakaway speed we have been looking for in our receiving core? He's 6'3", 200 lbs, and has a 40 of 4.30. http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/article-1/Jets-Sign-WR-Ganaway/96c08589-7e35-4019-9379-d6e7fdcd3be4
The guy was out of football in 2011... sorry but I'm not getting my hopes up. Just a camp body, if he makes it to TC.
NO, being out of football for a year coming out of college means they really don't have a lot of talent. Hey, I'd be estatic if he was the new Victor Cruz... I'm just not getting my hopes up for an unknown WR.
The more the better I guess. He's got a faster 40 then Holmes (4.45), Plax (4.56), Kerley (4.62), Turner (4.59), Scotty McKnight (4.50), Logan Payne (4.58) and Joe Mcknight (4.47). He is taller than most of our WRs and I have seen his highlights and he has talent. Who knows if he will contribute to the team but he has the height and speed for sure although 40 yard time is different then football speed. But he didn't play football in 2011, anyone know what he was doing?
This guys not over 30 and Plax was out much longer then a year. Being out of football a year out of college does not make you rusty it makes you not talented.
I was joking about it. Burress greatly contributed in making the Jets a successful red zone team this year.
we sign a guy who will most likely be on the practice squad which means he will not be on the 53 man roster, which means he wont be active for any games, which means he wont score any touchdowns, so he will not have an impact on any POINTS(see this word) we score...so this move is POINTLESS
Ganaway??? AWESOME!!! This is definitely worth starting a brand new thread over. Ganaway will certainly get us over the hump. Great, interesting post!!!!
Since when does a signing NOT warrant a thread? unless there is another one...nope...theres not. I guess we should just keep reading about Sanchez and the giants and the media and Blah blah freakin Blah. Who gives a shit if the kids gonna end up irrelevant, hey you know who used to be a practice squad player....Arian Foster. Just shut the hell up you whiny little bitches holy shit. OMG someone started a thread.
So he's an undrafted and out of football for a year..does he even have a chance at actually seeing playing time?
how must I be new to football and I know how the offseason works the fact of the matter is this guy probably wont even make the team so why does this "signing" deserve a thread...all its going to turn into is a Mark Sanchez, O-Line joke-fest
