Talking about Sanchez// Locker Room // and his Future Not much substance. Defending Sanchez. Trying to make an excuse for the locker room
I found alot more substance than you. Work ethic is not a question and the bitching is coming from the WR's, no doubt Holmes and Burress. One is gone for sure if Holmes doesn't want to be here and be a TEAM player, he can leave today. The locker room is not toxic, it just needs a couple of players to disappear.
This pretty much sums it up. A lot of this stuff is part of the kick'em when they're down mentality. If the Jets had won either the last two games, and ha made the play-offs, I wonder how much of this stuff would even be coming out. That being said, the 8-8 non-play-off season, being regarded as an absolute failure, has more than a silver lining. We've already made a much needed change at OC and I'm sure more are on the way.
Ya I'm not saying that he gave the world or held it back. But I want this guy back in green and white to help reform the locker room
I want LT back too but McKnight and Powell have to step up this year... especially Powell who has shown NOTHING.
LT was on again a minute ago talking about the Broncos and he said "We" referring to the Jets. That is more optimistic to him coming back than I could have thought. He's not asking for much money and is a leader and a teacher. I think we need to sign him back.
People need to remember that there were no OTA's and Training camp. The Kid is just getting his feet wet(Powell). Now for the both of them to think either will step up in the leadership department won't happen
LT wasn't EXTREMELY forthcoming in what he said. He said there was a "disconnect" with the receivers and Sanchez that probably caused a lot of these post-season issues to pop up. That's something pretty much everyone knew any way. TBH though I don't know that he comes back to the Jets unless there are some changes made. It sounds like he's content to retire unless he truly feels that a team is on the doorstep of making the Super Bowl. We have to filter out some of the trash on the team and get quality people on the team as well as competitors.
I agree... but still... RB is the easiest position to play as a rookie. That said I'm not saying I don't have confidence in them to turn it around this year (McKnight already showed some timid improvement)... just saying if we want to be a power running team we need our backs to step up!
Interesting... Where LT is in his career, i think we are actually hearing honest answers. I'd love to see LT back for one more year, if for no other reason, strong character presence on offense.
This. I'd like to get Braylon Edwards back, too. Call me crazy but I still like Holmes and think he can be dealt with, Rex has to be the one to do it.
Yeah we got to bring LT back. I dont want to hear at the end of next season that their were no Veterans etc.
He can clearly still play, if anyone noticed. Plus he has no more legs to get tattoos on, he pretty much has to stay with the Jets.
In an unrelated story, ESPN is now reporting that Santonio Holmes is having his name legally changed to "Anonymous Jets Player".
Still better than Metta World Peace. Especially from a guy who once incited a nationally televised riot.
The problem with Holmes is that he is going to be a whiner whenever things start going bad. There's a reason the Steelers let that talent go so cheaply. They knew the attitude made it not worthwhile to keep and enough other people knew that also that all they could get was the 5th round pick for a guy who had enough talent to draw a 2nd plus otherwise.
