When Sparano was OC in Dallas he ran a lot of double te sets ala Patriots.

Is there any great TE's in this years draft?

Maybe now we will see a 1st round pick on the OL or maybe even Richardson (highly doubt he drops that far).

Just found it interesting that our possible draft could chance now with Sparano as OC and with him favouring the run.

So any stud TE's available in round 1 or 2?

    Bad year for Tight ends.

Dwayne Allen should be a 2nd rounder. but he's not the big TE Sparano covets.

I hope we have a scout dedicated to looking at ncaa basketball players. There have been some extremely sucessfull converts to TE ...

We should go to Lebron James house and recruit him for TE.

Any possible mid round picks then that could work well next to Keller or are we going to have to go free agency?

I still like Keller, insert Brady, Brees, Rodgers and he's a pro bowler easily.

In addition to this, do you think Sparano being here changes our first round pick? Will it now be an offensive player that fits or still hopefully a OLB?

    Sarcasm?

I'm serious about recruiting college basketball players to play TE's. Guys like Gates and Graham were huge success stories. The league is becoming more about freakish athletes, we should bring some in.

    Hope not.

We need a pass rushing OLB.

Yeah, that's what I was speculating about.

LongTimeJets fan makes a good point. We should take a look at any UDFA or late round TE and see if they played some basketball in college. The same idea of boxing out/posting up takes body control and awareness and if effective in using your length and size to box out defenders on routes. One route I love to see Brees and Graham run is a slant on 3rd and short with the TE split out wide. He runs the slant and then just squares his shoulders to Brees creating a big target for Bress and not letting the CB get around him. He also is bigger than most CBs so he doesn't get bumped off his route.
