I was hoping the JETS would retain LT, especially with the Locker room / leadership mess to end the season, and that's was before I saw this.

Personally, I think this is very telling....... I know he was just a ring mercenary, but legitimately seemed to like being on the JETS. It's one thing if he just wanted to retire, but talks of wanting to go to another team, says he doesn't think they've got a shot, or Rex really did lose the lockerroom and the place is a mess. I truly hope the later is not the case..... but have a feeling all is not well in JETS land.

Cannot agree more, this is a guy with a jet tattoo on his ankle (and a chargers on the other) and a person I felt have always supported Sanchez.

He doesn't sound too excited about the jets.

McKnight is not a replacement, another iffy replacement at the jets.

That sucks. I'm hoping he returns to the Jets. He still has something left in his tank. If not for him, Sanchez probably would have been sacked 50 times.

I doubt he would ever want to come back to this zoo. Besides all the obvious reasons he rotted on the bench when he seemed to me at least to be the better of the two RBs we had.

If he rerires I wish him well---if he signs elsewhere I also wish him well but him leaving to start fresh somewhere else would speak volumes on how screwed up this place REALLY is ! This is one big ugly mess

LT is about the only true leadership we have, keep him one more year.

I am convinced he will leave the Jest. He is aware of who the QB is and what his limitations are as well as the nature of REX's Animal House routine and his lack of discipline. He is a ture leader with gas left in the tank. I'd love to see him go back to SD. It makes me sad to see what has become of our Jets.

I for one hope he remains a Jet. His leadership is definitely needed on this team. Now if Rex could remove his head from his ass, we may be alright.

Big loss if LT leaves the Jets. He was the only one that spoke openly about the conflict with Holmes. The Jets would sorely miss his leadership and he definitely still has a lot of juice left.

I'm sure LT spoke to Holmes...and even with HIS CREDENTIALS, Holmes still acted like a prick.

As if Sanchez playing better or talking to Holmes would have made a difference.

Something has to be pretty fucked up for him to think about going back to SD. That team is screwed.

If the guy gets a Jets tattoo and contemplates leaving the Jets. It's official. We're a joke.

Its a shame but his workload hasn't been massive this year. I wasn't sure if we were saving him for the postseason but I thought he might have been more involved when Greene started to struggle. So long and thanks for the memories LT.

He has no more room on his calfs for another team tattoo. Besides the current ones look like they were done by an amateur tattoo artist. Nonetheless, he was the only true leadership guy in the locker room and it's because of our OLine and OC that makes LT feel the way he feels.

Hoping he comes back for ONE MORE YEAR!

He's still a good blocker and a nice passing option out of the backfield on third down.

I'm more concerned about the fact that the Jets are sorely lacking in veteran leadership. Losing LT will hurt a lot in that respect.

Sucks that he's unsure about retirement, but isn't saying, "If I come back, I'd like it to be with the Jets."

Would like to see him be Matt Forte's backup in Chicago next season. Let him finish his career with a good team.

Use the money to resign him elsewhere

LT has to get over it no matter where he goes he isn't gonna get the workload he want's all NFL teams go young at RB no matter who you are,He just has a big name, his tank is just about empty. Can he catch a few balls for first downs???sure he can but we need more then a Screen Pass running back who catches 8 passes a year and runs for 300 yards and a touchdown.Sorry guys fuck his leadership it wasn't that great he didn't keep the ship from sinking how good of a leader is he???

I can't really blame the guy. At this point in his career, the only thing he wants is a ring. With the way he's talking, it sounds like next year would be his last (if he does come back at all). And I can see it from his perspective, that he'd want to be on a Super Bowl contender, and can you honestly say that you believe the Jets would be a contender next year?

I followed LT from San Diego to New York and became a Jets fan in the process. Whatever he decides or wherever he goes, I wish him the best.
