He's always to into saying that Rex hasn't won a divison title. Who cares. Going to Championship games is better then win a division title and getting knocked out in the first round. Big deal, they haven't run a New York Giant 9-7 division title.
lol at constantly emphasizing winning a division as accomplishing something. Plenty of division winners lose in the playoffs too, Mikey.
We beat the division winner head-to-head in 2010. Why does he care that we didn't win the division? Oh, I know - because he's a douche. Really, Fatty should just tee off on the Jets for the debacle of 2011 and stop trying to tear down Rex's first two years.
Can't wait for him to hang up on the first caller to make the point that winning the division isnt the most important thing in the NFL, as long as you make a playoff run
Winning the division title is the number one priority of 31 out of 32 teams. All other HC's in pre-season talk about how important it is to win the division and that is their first goal. Only Rex guarantees winning the Super Bowl before the season even starts. Maybe he should re-evaluate his priorities.
It would be nice if we could have won our division at 8-8 or 9-7 like some other garbage teams, now hosting a playoff game. We're in one of the hardest divisions and its going to get harder next year. Broncos getting in a 8-8 is a joke.
There are only three things an NFL team can win: 1. Their division title. 2. Their conference championship. 3. The Superbowl. Anything else is just conversation. "Playoff runs" are meaningless unless you win your conference championship. The Jets haven't won anything, and now they are coming completely unglued.
"sanchez not awful"... "took a big step back this year" "they got exposed" ....nothing we haven't regurgitated over and over the last few weeks.
Rex said this years main goal from day one was getting a home playoff game so no need to re-evaluate anything there. Plus the main goal is always to win a Super Bowl. The home playoff games and bye just make reaching that goal a better possibility. I think the point here is the Giants won the division at 9-7 the Broncos at 8-8. when you play in divisions that have the Patriots you have to win at least 12 games to win your division and that may not be enough. So winning a division at 8-8 or 9-7 is not as big of an accomplishment as winning the AFC East or North, or the NFC Central or South. You have to be a great team to win those divisions. The other divisions not so much.
I usually can't stand Francessa, but I cant do anything but agree with him today. The Jets have quickly become a joke. And, as much as I'd like to place the blame squarely on the fat loudmouth head coach, I honestly think it goes deeper than that. It's the whole organization.
interesting caller - saying how MS is intimidated by holmes, burress......and comparing it to manning with shockey and barber. may very well be true and if so it doesn't speak well of MS toughness.
I gotta get me some of those Maxtall things. I want to be more confident, more successful in life, and attract hot women like Cindy.
Figures, the first person to call in and defend Ryan sounds drunk and can hardly put together a coherent sentence.
