c'mon with this stuff. The guy leads us to back to back AFC championship games and people want to run him out of town after an 8-8 season and missing the playoffs? Firing coaches every 3 years is not the way to build a superbowl winning franchise.

Take a look at how the Steelers do it. They have it right.

Rex did it with a rookie QB. The year before they only had a future HOF QB with 35 years of experience in the league. Slightly different scenarios.

2 Straight AFC title games, 3 straight top 5 defenses and we have to fire the man who single handedly changed our franchise. This is fucking stupid and i hope you don't jump on the band wagon when we do get back.

So who is this great Head Coach in waiting that Rex Ryan is keeping us from? I mean if you are going to state he can't stay under any circumstance than at least tell me who the nect great Head coach of the Jets is?

it probably won't be popular because the stupidity of the position is even beyond our worst posters.

he may have done a terrible job this season, but the idea that you think the disappointment of this season supersedes the success of the previous two seasons is something you should drink yourself to death in shame because of.

for the sake of the quality of the board, please stop posting.

Rex gets a pass for this year.

The only problem I have is his talk of rings like they are Lollipop rings.

Rex has a team full of guys that love him, but do not respect or fear him. Gotta get that turned around. I listened to the man say he needs to change what he is doing today, I hope he's figured out what he needs to do. Man, do I hope he actually uses the set of balls I know he's hiding under the tool shed and put the fear of Rex into a few of our quitters next season.

So it's ok to use the excuse that Rex is a great coach because he got us to back to back AFCCG's but it's a poor excuse to use that to defend Sanchez?

my opinion is this, rex's act is great when the team wins and overachieves. it's easy to overlook his flaws when the team is winning and on the door of the super bowl.

when the team underachieves his flaws are exposed and under the mirror alot more.

he's a decent coach but i hope if anything this season humbled him.

i don't want to hear no super bowl guarantees, and none of the same talk, if the team gets off to a decent start next season i don't want him getting ahead of himself and saying something. i much rather see the team fly under the radar this offseason and season and let their play do the talking.

i think rex is a very good coach and a great fit for the team but he needs to take this season as a lesson learned.

aside from that, i want the buddy buddy act with the players to stop. i have no clue how he acts with the players when the cameras aren't around but he needs to hold them more accountable when they screw up.

i could live with a few quotables here and there but nothing excessive. let the teams play on the field do all the talking.

I agree, but in fairness, if Favre hadn't gotten hurt, they would have won more than 9. They were 8-3 and finished 9-7.

Hell, if Favre didn't get hurt, they will 11-12 games and Mangini might still be around. (shudder)

Yes because you have to dissect how they got there. It wasn't because of Sanchez.

Yeah, we did lose. It does not change the fact that he just came into this organization and he still managed to do that with this franchise back to back years.

This year he leads this team to an 8-8 record with no playoffs. It still isn't the worst season we have ever experienced.

Our defense has been in the top 10 each year he has been here. He has made a statement with this team and he has shown that he knows his shit.

Just because you don't like his bold predictions, it doesn't make him a bad HC. He speaks his mind, he is straight forward and he is openly talking about his beliefs with this team.

    WHO GIVES A FUCK???

    AGAIN..

You want to can the guy because his fucking predictions didn't come true this year? Is that your only basis? Honestly, your a clown.

I hate that you are a Jet fan.

He just needs to change his approach..gotta lay down the law once in awhile. Like the dude from the Raiders. He called out his whole team.

I wish we could fire fans. Did people already forget the back to back AFC champ games? Fire Rex? Come on man.

Really? Because in 09-10 I remember Mark playing well in Cinci, SD, and in IND. It was Rex's D that shit the bed in the 2nd half in IND. AND last years 10-11 I remember Mark heaving the ball down field to Braylon to get Folk into FG range. I also remember him playing exceptionally well up in Foxboro, and making most of the passes necessary to bring us back into the game in Pitt. Both sides of the ball was shit in the first half, but our D was shit all game in Pitt.

REX is the one guaranteeing shit and writing checks he can't cash. I fucking love Rex Ryan, and for him to be fired is stupid, but so is losing faith in Mark Sanchez.
