ESPN is trying to stampede a weak management team with poor fundamentals into making a move that will give them a lot of hits and exposure.

No. It would be stupid to give up on him now. He deserves this upcoming season, everybody stop crying. Let's take our L, go back and re-up, the bitching is understandable but let's not lose complete faith in this squad.

This article was dead-on. Unfortunately only Schotty will be gone. This FO is going to give Sanchez a shot with a different OC next year although I'd love to see him gone too.

However if they don't at least draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th rd this year it will be a big mistake. A deep QB draft this year and we need start looking in that direction.

And Stephen A. Smith knows exactly what about football? He knows less about football than he knows about basketball which if you've ever heard his informed opinions on Isiah Thomas back when he was running the Knicks ..... well enough said

we have mcehlroy as a project and he played at bama more than one year.

we need a veteran backup who can play if sanchez gets hurt or yanked.

fix the o-line, olb/pass rush, and safeties. put westerman at ilb with harris and demote scott, who missed more tackles than he made.

So if we have a new OC next year and Mark still sucks then what is it going to be..."oh its a new system he needs to learn it"......it will be another excuse next year

I can live with that. Westerman is a beast and all he does is produce when he's in there. Definitely need an upgrade at safety as Eric Smith is as slow as molasses and his time is done. This franchise needs a pass rusher every year, same old story there. Really hope we get a good veteran qb or draft one as our QB situation is shaky at best.

I did the same. The guy is a basketball analysist who knows nothing about anything else.

Can't demote Scott but other than that I agree. The Jets had no backup QB who could reliably play if Sanchez got hurt this season, they need to fix that.

Scott is going to have to go I think. He's too big a personality to accept a reduced role in the defense and he's another guy who is ok against the run and a liability against the pass. You can't have too many of those guys on the field at the same time.

Article 100% dead on. The man knows his stuff and doesn't have Sanchez blinders on like half of this board.

Truth hurts to all the people lol.

I'm willing to wait a year, 2 tops as Sanchez finishes under a new OC.

Because let's be real, some of the decisions he make's are absolutely retarded. He has poor field vision and simply can't execute.

I hope Rex and the players are honest with Sanchez behind close doors, because he really need to know about his inconsistent game play and poor decision making skills.

i think my biggest issue with this whole thing is that even if we upgrade at rt, s, de, rb, wr i still don't think sanchez is the answer... i certainly don't believe that we will win it all within the next 2 to 3 years with sanchez at the helm so if most of us don't think sanchez is the answer why wait another few years to come to the same realization... this team is a while away from the Super Bowl so i think we just get rid of sanchez and star over with a new qb... I'm not saying manning but maybe rg3 or a young gun... i think that sanchez can be a decent nil qb but with the issues this team has i don't think its smart to prolong the inevitable.
