    Theyve always been NY's team. They further cemented that yesterday

    not really, the Jets owned the city for the last two years.

    Also, it's not like the Giants were always traditional powerhouses or anything. Yeah, they might have a few more Super Bowls, but it's not like they were particularly more dominant than the Jets at any given time.

    Can't say in all seriousness that any Giants fan is going to be that happy with them right now when they still need to win and get some help in a conference that has been weak and inconsistent all year.

    Jets-Giants supremacy will only ever matter in a SB not once very four years and a preseason tickle fest.

    I understand the Giants were NY's team many years ago but that doesn't wash anymore

    Not a traditional power house? We're not green bay but I suggest you check the pre superbowl era. A lot of history there. That being said our team sucks ass this year. No one in giant land is gloating over how great we are. But we are gloating over rex eating humble pie. Note I said Rex. Not the jets. A lot of us would actually cheer for you guys if iytit weren't for Rex.

    This whole debate is so stupid. No team owns NY. Whoever is doing better will be the team that the city follows.

    They consistently win and have won a Super Bowl each of the last three decades. they may not be a dynasty but that is a dominant stretch of success.

    I don't have to imagine. You should have heard the shit I endured leaving the stadium yesterday. As for the title of Ny's team, the Giants remain NY's team. If you live in the city, you already know that.

    Thank you for injecting some common sense into this ridiculous argument.

    And how good will the Giants fans feel about this game if they lose to Dallas next week and are home with the Jets at 8-8???????

    Yes, they are.

    As painful as it must have been to say, and as excruciating as it is to read, Rex said after the game that the Giants are the best team in NY. Yes, the Jets head coach had to eat shit and say the Giants are the better NY team right now.

    On top of the fact the Giants have a longer, more storied history (pre-SB era), combined with the 3 SB wins (4 SB appearances), they are clearly the team of NY, if such a thing exists.

    The giants needs no help, they win they are in. Weak conference? With a 13-1 team and a 12-2 team? Not to mention NFC east games vs afc east teams. I know the against are 4-0 in that div

    Yankees -> Mets

    Knicks -> Nets

    Giants -> Jets

    Rangers -> Islanders/Devils

    I'm a Jets fan, but we will be under the shadow of Giants until we win a Super Bowl. I'm not a big fan of sharing the stadium with them either. Kinda wish that stadium by the water in Manhattan got APPROVED! :( Would of been so nice!

    P.S. I am a Yankee | Knicks | Jets | Rangers fan, hehe.

    Giants are New Yorks team until Romo takes a shit on them next Sunday which will result in Coughlin's firing and anarchy/chaos in their locker room with 3 straight epic collapses. Can't wait.

    I personally want to see Romo destroy them next week. I'm sick about hearing how 'elite' Eli is this year despite not being in the top 7-8 in any QB category. Romo is essentially killin him, yet all I hear is how elite Eli is and how much of a choke artist Romo is. Makes me sick.

    I feel ya lol. I hope it ends up happening so we don't have to listen to how bad the Jets choked in 2011 ...
