I know this isn't the thread to ask about tickets for sale but I don't have enough posts to get into that one. I'm going to be in NJ visiting family for the holidays and I would love to get 2 tickets for the game and not pay a small fortune for them. Can anyone help me?

Your best bets are probably www.stubhub.com or the ticket exchange on the Jets website.

We have a Tickets forum on here but there doesn't seem to be anything for sale for this week.

Boomer and Carton this morning said that everyone entering the Stadium gets a white towel----------that kinda sux--should be a green towel no ? But then again,,,maybe the JETS want to give the impression on TV that it's all Jet fans there------after all I would guess Giant fans will be waving these crying towels as well

Would you wave a towel whilst embracing something below mediocrity?

Regardless who is the home team in this series it will be almost 50/50 w/ the fans in the stands. That's the way it is, it is always better to be the road team in this series b/c you basically get an extra home game or at least nuetral site game.

Why? We don't wear green jerseys anymore. It's always those stupid white ones. Just wish the NY Titan throwups..err..backs were finally gone.

    Lets have a white out.

Maybe because the Jets absolutely shit the bed against the Eagles last week? Rex then goes into his PC and says how good all his players are on the field, and then in effect suggests that the fans need to do more off the field in the stands to help the Jets win.

How about Wayne Hunter does more work in the film room and practice?

How about Pettine and Rex come up with a scheme that doesn't allow every TE in the league the chance to run free all day?

Yes i totally understand that we're all mad at the team's shameful performance last week

But the season is not over, this is going to be the last home game of the year and a decisive one, so we need to do everything that is in our reach to help this team, creating a jets home game atmosphere is essential. After the season is over, then we can complain and protest as long as we want to

Also why wouldn't you go in green for the game?

None of those are unreasonable requests. But Rex made kind of a telling remark during the presser where he opened addressing the fans about the Green Out. He said during the pre-season game against the Giants, it was eerie to see the new-ish stadium the Jets called home all decked out with Giants stuff. I think that has kind of a psychological effect, no matter what the players tell themselves about whose house it is.

Seeing that place decked with green and white, and adding a stadium full of green jerseys and jackets and whatnot, that will have an effect on the Giants' players. Because they have never seen that place in anything but red, white and blue. It would be like walking into your own home and seeing another family's pictures up on the wall.

I don't think it's an unreasonable request, even after the debacle on Sunday.

Look, of course if I were going I would show up and wave the towel and all that BS and yell and cheer as loud as possible. (the sad thing is that I'm going to be in Jersey and my brother got offered tickets yesterday for the game, but the family Xmas Eve party's scheduled to start at 1 and he thinks - incorrectly - that we need to be there for it. I disagree. The women and the kids could have a perfectly fun time without us).

Still, It would be nice for Rex to come out and say, "we've got to put in a better effort on defense. My guys have to make more plays. And we need to block better and execute better on offense." He doesn't have to call anyone out by name, but at least stop praising 'your guys' when they are playing like trash.

On its face it's not unreasonable at all, but when coupled with Rex's PC after the Eagles game, I think it takes balls (yeah I know, it's Rex) to come out and call on the fans to put in more effort to support this team.

Rex isn't going to change, not for any of us. He takes the heat, always, after a loss. He said as much on Monday. He's not going to do that in a presser. Stop expecting him to, because you're just making yourself mad about something you have no control over.

Anyway, I prefer this to Herm Edwards throwing players under the bus after each loss.

So, should we just stop listening to Rex and simply watch games and check the standings? In the end, you're only as good as your record.

    WAIT

    how can this be???

those two most positive Jet "fans" CBJ and Sec227 are posting that "tickets for the game are tanking" and STHs trying to sell their seats in the LL and/or Mezz sections are "ALL taking a bath"????

must not be my section because the average price for sold tickets to this game was something north of 400 bucks a ticket.... must be ALL the other sections that are tanking with STHs taking baths, I guess
