Another fun fact pointing to Mark Sanchez's statistical improvement: In Yahoo standard scoring leagues Sanchez is now in 10th place for points scored by a QB. In the preseason the average prediction of where he would be was 20th, with KFFL ranking him the lowest (25th). Josh Freeman, who Sanchez is often compared to is 15th, with a 12 to 18 TD to INT ratio.
Im starting Jake Locker this week. My opponent is who is going to destroy me has Sanchez on his bench. He is starting Matthew Stafford.
That's a good matchup play if you've got to do it. Sucks to be doing that in the playoffs, but hey if you win you won with Jake fucking Locker. Plus, you can always hope it's Staffords time to get hurt. If Matt Moore is out there, he might not be a bad matchup play against the bills either if somehow Hassleback is able to play this week.
It's true, but in general scoring touchdowns is what gets QB's noticed no matter what. At some point people will realize "Hey, this guy is better than he was in his rookie season!" or "Maybe that Baltimore game was an aberration." It doesn't help that the Jets lose games like the Baltimore one, and the New England one last season really badly on national TV.
It will definitely garner him more attention in a positive way. Or a negative way if people start him and he plays like crap!
I actually chose not to play Fantasy Football this year. It feels great, honestly. I feel like more of a pure fan... and I have no rooting conflicts.
I've never done it, just can't be bothered. I've always enjoyed NFL Sundays immensely since I was a kid, I don't need the aggravation. It's just gambling on players instead of teams. I realize it's fun for a lot of people who aren't as into the NFL by itself, but I don't need any more anxiety on game days.
I play in 3 or 4 leagues every year. I set my lineups on sunday around noon, and check them before the late game sunday night. The Rest of sunday is about watching games thogh, not looking for stats. My Cousin spends 99% of the day on his damn ipone taking stats and misses every big play live in front of us. Why the hell someoen reads stat lines of watching the 60" tv in front of them is beyond me. Fantasy is a good mid week distraction if you don;t get too caught up in it.
On the bright side, Tim Tebow has the Madden cover for next year all locked up already. No chance that Sanchez gets on there even if the Jets win their first Super Bowl since the Middle Ages.
Isn't he tied for 5th? Thought I read that only Brees, Rodgers, Brady and Stafford have more total TDs. 10th is for fantasy points I believe, which makes sense since Mark doesn't throw for as many yards as those guys.
